Great point !
I always have to remember all of the amazing things that LIBERALS have pushed through in society ( women’s suffrage, ending slavery, Social Security, etc) and it gives me hope that we are “slowly” moving in the right direction.

I kind of think that FDL could reframe how it phrases these very strong points in terms of staying away from the Rhetorical / passive voice.
Honestly, I think that there are so many amazing posters/ bloggers here that hit all of the salient points that resonate with most Americans and most Democrats. The only downside is that sometimes it sounds too “bloggerish” and has that complaint sounding voice.

I know that Axelrod is a smart guy, and that the white house is full of smart people. But when they say things like this they appear like the biggest bunch of morons.
Seriously, its like they don’t mind appearing like they have zero power at all.
A smart white house would
1. OWN the middle class tax cuts
2. Force Congress to speed them through in the lame duck session
3. Make the Republicans seem petty about protecting rich people in the next session and waste THEIR political capital on stupid parlor tricks that will just annoy voters and make them more likely to vote them out in 2012.I am just scratching my head now.
