Clinton said at the time “don’t worry about it, we’ll change it back when we regain control of Congress.” Obama is going to propose two or three more free trade agreements next month and he’s going to lie through his teeth that it’s going to create jobs. He’ll be correct if he’s referring to slave labor jobs being created overseas. Also, what exactly is he talking about changing the patent laws. Better read that one closely since he’s claiming it will be a job creator. Unless a million new patent clerk will be hired, it’s just more bullshit blather from Obama. And of course he’s going to propose an extension of the payroll tax which adversely effects Social Security.

Well, don’t look to the White House for empathy. There are too many examples that show their indifference to the little people. Remember when the White House proposed Michele Obama’s child obesity program they requested that the Food Stamp Program be cut to pay for it. Just think about that for a second. That’s what Congress did. It’s outrageous and not indicative of the values that drew me to the Democratic Party some 50 years ago. I don’t recognize these self-promoting assholes anymore. Congress could care less about the most vulnerable as long as they’re in safe districts for reelection.

    Brilliantly envisioned.

  • By the time Obama finishes his bipartisan agenda through his second term, he will go down as one of the most REGRESSIVE Presidents to hold the office. He talks a good progressive game, but it’s all B Squared = Bullshit Blather.

Obama has lost my vote in 2012. I’m writing-in Bernie Sanders, a man with real progressive values who will not kiss ass and capitulate to corporate interests.

The Obama Administration is completely incapsulated within the proverbial DC Bubble. To pay for Michelle Obama’s Kids Obesity Program the White House wanted the House of Representatives to cut the Food Stamp Program. They just don’t get it. Fortunately, Speaker Pelosi would not consider such an outrageous reallocation of budgetary funds.

Let’s hope she remains opposed to the payroll tax holiday until Obama gets a better working knowledge of the Social Security Program. He hasn’t proven himself trustworthy to handle Social Security or Medicare. Don’t forget that Obama chose most of the Cat Food Commission and he wanted Congress to authorize regulatory authority for their final product without a vote from Congress. Again, we were fortunate that Congress rejected that proposal.

  • I don’t understand this process for modifying the current tax law. The Bush tax cuts were passed under reconciliation requiring only 51 votes, then why can’t the Senate extend the tax cuts for the middle class using the same procedure? Providing reconciliation is not an option, the letter signed by 42 GOP senators is providing cover for Obama to capitulate which I believe he’s already done and we’re being gamed. This is indicative of Obama’s governing and campaigning style – publicly express support for progressive causes while working feverishly behind the scenes to undermine them. I thought I was voting for an FDR type, but we ended up with Neville Chamberlain.

Mr. President it’s time for the electorate to make some tough choices about nominating you for a second term.

  • More of Obama’s B Squared talk – Bullshit Blather. Obama could be impeached for not upholding his constitutional responsibility to prosecute war criminals. No, Mr. President, your number one responsibility is not to protect the American people or corporate interests – It’s to protect and defend the Constitution. Get to work or you’re a one term wonder.
