The sequester has turned out to be a massive political miscalculation.
Actually, no. As a second-term president, Obama could not care less about political damage to him or The Democratic Party. If he’s a Republican mole, as I believe circumstantial evidence strongly suggests, causing such damage may be a major part of his job.
What Obama is doing with this strategy here is signalling his absolute determination to cut “entitlements” by any means available. His actions have put the economy in a state of siege – a siege that will not be lifted until he gets the cuts he wants.
There is not a chemical trace of humanity within this man.
