Hopefully the CDs that Elmer will hand over publicly on Monday are duplicates and that Wikileaks is already in possession of another set. As it is Elmer is in grave danger, no need to exacerbate that.

Big Republican majorities in Washington State are out in the jack rabbit counties of Eastern Washington but only 20% of the population lives out there. Patty Murray won with a 4.7 margin. That is better than the D’s did overall to be sure, but this is a blue state and has been for a long time. Actually, the red wave ran out of steam when it got to the West Coast and was stopped from border to border. The Republicans picked up a legislative seat here and there but not a wave commensurate with the lousy economy. There was talk here that none of the polls commissioned by either senate candidate or either of the parties agreed with the public polls. If true, that is very interesting and damning of the public polls.

Reading your post one might think that the Republicans swept to power in Washington, they did not. They picked up one open seat for Congress in a conservative district and made minor inroads on Democratic majorities in both houses of the Legislature. Republicans in Washington are wondering what happened to the red wave. http://crosscut.com/2010/11/22/elections/20385/Why-the-GOP-tide-fell-short-in-Washington-state/
