D-Day anniversary is coming, Mitt will likely grab some credit for that too. As Embryonic Commander of Allied Forces, Mitt and his magic underwear stormed the beaches, making the world safe for crony capitalism.

Pretty unlikely stance for an embattled Republican admin. Can’t remember a GOPer who didn’t love fluffing the NRA.

Campaigning for a gubernatorial candidate in a general election is pretty common but injecting the sitting president into a recall election might create bad optics, or so team Obama may believe. He has been conspicuously absent, whatever the reason.

Any hint which candidate people casting absentee ballots are likely to favor?

He was in damage control mode thanks to Biden’s loose lips and made the smallest concession possible. He certainly didn’t offer to leverage the power of his office on behalf of millions of disenfranchised Americans. I don’t believe he has really evolved at all. If it wasn’t an election year he probably wouldn’t have bothered to make a statement.

States should determine whether or not a significant portion of their population receives the full benefit of citizenship or not? Sure, it worked out swell back when those southern states decided all on their own to abolish slavery.

The internet is a wonderful research tool but I’ve found that bands with really ubiquitous names can make the task pretty difficult. Also, sometimes names have assumed new definitions during the interim. Here’s a tip, if you want to learn about the ’60s/’70s drummer known as Twink it’s best to Google his real name (John Alder).

I filled in the Electric Prunes gaps in my collection last year. Better late than something, something… I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I love your mother-in-law’s quote. It’s a sentiment I’ve heard expressed by others but never so succinctly.

It’s the little moments in life that matter!

I’ve been thinking lately about how my dad always worked two jobs but somehow still found time to spend with the kids. I realize now that my mom and dad spent a lot of time creating happy memories for us. It’s truly a wonderful thing to have now that they are gone.

Eyes are overrated, I think you’re good for a couple more hours, dood. However, if you MUST… pleasant dreams.

I dunno, that song sounds made up… :)

When I was looking for the Lou video one came up from the first Farm Aid. I’d forgotten he was there. Would have been the first time I saw him in person. I was smushed up by the stage for 13 hours, thought maybe I could spot my younger self in the video but no luck. Didn’t link to it because the video quality was particularly poor.

Congrats on the daughters, man. Sounds like you’ve done a good job in the upbringin’ department. (hope the nuptials don’t pinch the wallet TOO hard).
