regulararmyfool commented on the blog post Housing Economics Determined By a Couple Key Facts
Apparently I am the only human in the United States that ever sorted out an insurance company’s vault. Insurance companies love home mortgages. This hasn’t even touched the market yet. Take the bank exposure and triple it for a rough guess.

If he rules in favor of the plaintiffs, he will be famous in the world.
If he rules according to some prior precedent, he will a soon forgotten tool.

I am stunned and amazed that the civilized women in this state are not rioting and going for the politicians that passed this.
Just how beat down are the thinking women in this state?

regulararmyfool commented on the blog post TransCanada: Keystone XL Pipeline Could Not Begin Until 2015 at the Earliest
I believe that I read that the Koch brothers pipeline corporation in Canada is already stocking pipe and pumping equipment.
I think they will be ready to go when their hirelings pass the necessary legislation that make it almost legal to lay a pipeline.

I personally thank you for mentioning the Google sell out. People have absolutely no idea of how bad this will be for the internet.

One thing I am perfectly sure of is that he will never inform on the Republicans that he corrupted. He, casually and in his own name, committed what should be super charges of corruption of the federal government.
Some other countries see this as disloyalty to the country and they execute people like this. Not all of Iranian executions of citizens are really racially, political or religious based.
They have some pretty strict laws about what Jack did. They really do not have much use for slick crooked thugs in general.

Why can’t we use the military at just cleaning up the messes on every single military base in the world? That would keep them usefully busy instead of the mindless muddle the military is in now. I mean the Secretary of Defense does not even pretend to make sense with money. Well, we will save a hundred billion doing this, but we want this super aircraft carrier that will fly that will only cost a hundred and fifty billion.
Re-direct the munitions money for factories to build the material to rebuild their country in Iraq.
When is anyone going to start dreaming of the simple fact that there is no Afghani people? A book of letters from some political agent in Afghanistan for the British points out the point. People who get up and kill their neighbors regularly are not going to make good subjects of the Queen.

The non-existent peace dividend drove the final nail in the coffin of the US government for me.
All mainstream propaganda organs lost all credibility.
Anyone who pretended to be a political leader was just another filthy wild boar that was useless except for hunting.

So why couldn’t Texas do the same when George H W Bush “lived” in a hotel in Texas in 1988 and never properly registered to vote.

Strictly idle curiosity, but what are the odds of the Mitt having five sons and no daughters? Sonograms? Abortion of female fetuses? Statistically these are incredibly high odds. Even for a Mormon.

Regarding purchases at Sears. I quit buying things from them in the early 70s when they refused a warranty service.
I kept their credit card. If I need a barbecue grill, Sears. If I need an ironing board and iron, Sears. If I need a TV set to watch a show on TV, Sears. If I need tools to fix up a house, Sears.
Then I return everything. In 35+ years they have not registered that they are my free rental store and canceled my card.

President Obama is a better politician than I have given him credit for.
You check out the new laws and they allow him to be dictator – legally. His phony protestations of veto smelled all along.
Now he has tremendous power for good. Think the top 5 layers of the Bush administration tossed into Gitmo with no recourse, no lawyers, no constitutional rights and no reasons need to be given. Think the heads of the top ten banking firms thrown into military custody for questioning at foreign black sites. Think all of the billionaires that fund the anti-worker, anti-women, anti-voting and pro-corporate personhood laws, giving it all up for financing terrorists.

regulararmyfool commented on the blog post US Draws in 30,000 Tax Evaders as Latest Offshore Account Amnesty Program Ends
Actually there are more people in prison for violation of the Mann Act (the law criminalizing taking a person under 16 years old across a state line for sex) than are in prison for tax evasion.
The IRS realizes that they won’t get squat from someone in prison, so they plea deal down to basically whatever the evader can convince them he/she can pay.
