This might be the definitive evidence that Twitter is a gigantic waste of your time.

“Do it from ur phone RIGHT NOW! I swear to God don’t be stupid. U don’t want every1 including your parents seeing your t–s (and) ass.”

I think that’s the one he sent to Paul Ryan.

That guy looks like Paul Ryan forgot to put in the battery and push the switch to “on”.

All that was missing was David Gregory and Karl Rove.

I’ll be looking forward to this at next year’s Academy Awards best short film ceremony.

Why, oh why, didn’t the cruise offer a “swimming with the sharks” seminar?

If somebody in my old neighborhood had dressed in “lime-green pants embroidered with pink swordfish and navy polo shirt with white piping on the collar” he would have walked home with those pants around his ankles and the shirt shoved where the sun don’t shine.

Now the guy with the satin dinner jacket and bow tie would have been cool.

I grew up in Detroit, we knew about fashion.

  • Maybe we need to devote the nexct professional development day in the local school district to concealed weapons training so all the teachers can be packing. Issue shotguns to the lunch duty people so they can maintain order and protect the kids while they eat their pizza and french fries. Giving coaches AK-47′s and assault rifles might deter violence at the basketball and football games. Train 2nd graders on how to quickly get into bulletproof vests and helmets.

What about tasers and hand grenades in the school vault to use on those particularly irate gun totin’ parents. 50 calibers at the local board office might make school board meeting more “polite”.

The automatic solution for the NRA is that we need more guns. Well, maybe we should give it to them.

I can’t even put into words my disgust for the “patriots” who want more guns everywhere.

In its wisdom, the Michigan Legislature, the most radical right wing legislature in America, has just approved a bill that will allow patriots to carry guns in churches, malls, stadiums, and yes, schools.

It will certainly be signed by our NERD governor Rick Snyder. It’s just a matter of time before Sandy Hook Elementary is overshadowed here in the Wolverine state.

I was an assistant principal for over ten years and what happened in Connecticut today was easily my worst fear. I never contemplated having to deal with an irate parent carrying a Glock.

Maybe it’s time for all of us sensible people to join the NRA and make a change in that organization.

    Madness, simply madness!

My family’s immigrant story was a bit different from Rubio’s.

My grandfather (an itinerant butcher in the old country) came to Highland Park to work for $5/day. Henry Ford put him in the foundry and he lasted until he was about 60 years old, dieing from the effects of working around molten metal and dirt for 35 years. He never could afford to own a house.

During the early part of the 20th century we got intelligence test to prove that immigrants were so dumb that they were only qualified for jobs like foundry work. Then we got prohibition because we couldn’t have those whose names ended in a vowel being drunk when they came to work. And then we got the Great Depression that screwed everybody.

Granted, there are decent rich folks, but history shows that the monied class see the working class as something to be used, and used up. No different than iron ore, a forest, or the nearest river. (Who paid to clean up Lake Erie? Not Ford or Great Lakes Steel.)

Exploitation of the middle class is now a virtue, so prized that you can even make a run for president based on it.
