Well if there is anyone with firsthand knowledge of “buying and selling of politicians and of institutions entrusted with upholding the public interest. We will expose how big money distorts major policy decisions – harming our economy and our people” it would be Jack. Are they planning on hiring Tom Delay as well or are they waiting to sign up Duke Cunningham when he gets out?

If there is anyone less ‘street’ than Mittens, it would be Jonah ‘Doughbob Loadpants’ Goldberg, the two of them make Lawrence Welk look like John Shaft

anything by Heinlein, anything by Phil Dick, anything by Theodore Sturgeon, anything by neal stephenson.
Also too, most especially, Callahans Crosstime Saloon and Time Travellers Strictly Cash by Spider Robinson, great humanistic pun-ridden short stories set in the greatest bar ever. -

the bands I was in during university in the late 80′s included a jokey consciously spinal tap psycheldic band with two drummers and four lead guitarists called The Blind Samlon Spewship. There was also our folk-rock quartet with two hippies, a yuppie and hot chick drummer called “Those Meddling Kids” sometimes referred to by our friends as those medleying kids for our tendency to jam out of one song such as the Beatles “helter skelter” and into another, like Dire Straits “Wild West End”.
Other friends had bands called Forensic Banquet, The Winged Marsupials and Nine Big Dogs. Surprisingly or not, many of the people from these bands are now music professors or professional musicians. The drummer from the Spewship is now a professor at the University of Toronto who plays in a funk band on the weekends called “Getuplicans & Downocrats.” Some other friends are local legends in Eastern Ontario under the name The Frere Brothers.
When I get more time I fully intend to start a new band call Fink Ployed, though I’m tempted to put together a group and call it St. Satchmo and the Thursday Night Bassets, just to cash in on all the Tbogg fans.
