richardCA commented on the blog post WI-Gov: Walker Leads, But Internal Polling from Barrett Shows Tighter Race
“Forward” is Wisconsin’s state motto.
If Obama wants to use it as his campaign slogan he better down with Bucky Badger on the steps of the capitol and do some push-up before the recall.

richardCA commented on the blog post Bain Capital Debate Busting Larger Story About Role of Business Leaders in Job Creation
Need to add Willard’s business acumen w/ respect to how he would of handled saving the auto industry.
Here you have a guy who writes an editorial in the New York Times saying we should let the auto industry go bankrupt.
Now he wants to claims his position was just the opposite(in hindsight) when that business succeeds and claim it on his resume.
But Willard forgets to note on his resume he has been unemployed for the last 5 years while applying for his new job. Show that to any businessman/woman looking for a qualified employee.

richardCA commented on the blog post Wisconsin Recall: More Resources, but No Change in Strategy to Defeat Walker
hey, I said it before, running Barrett in a rematch with Walker is like Bob Dole running for prez again.
Does anyone expect a different result?

With Gov’s Scotty and Scott is it “Feature the F__kheads Day”?

richardCA commented on the blog post Why Is “Fail Whale” Trade a Problem for Romney, and Not the Administration That Watered Down the Volcker Rule?
All the banks took money from the FED even when they said they supposedly didn’t need any.
If they had revealed their true balance sheets one could see why. If they didn’t need any money, why did they stop lending?

richardCA commented on the blog post Why Is “Fail Whale” Trade a Problem for Romney, and Not the Administration That Watered Down the Volcker Rule?
Why not blame Willard.
He recently gave new meaning to getting a haircut.

richardCA commented on the blog post In Leaked Video, Walker Tells Donor of Plan to “Divide and Conquer” Unions
I wonder if Barry is paying attention to the Walker recall.
Cause if Walker wins come Nov 1, you can bet Wisconsin will be like Florida 2000 all over again.
With Walker, it’s not just about disenfranching some unions.

richardCA commented on the blog post Obama and Romney Tied in Florida and Ohio
Willard is 65 years old, how come he doesn’t have a gray hair on his head.
To complement his lies and enhance his phony creds he washes away the gray everyday.

richardCA commented on the diary post How Can an Election Result be “Shrill?” by Dean Baker.
I hear Willard is very fond of being austere except when it comes to flipping co’s and loading em up with debt.
Will he do it to the USA too and become the second coming of W?

richardCA commented on the blog post Why Is Romney Trying to Turn Obama into Carter?
I suggest you read his biography.
I would say Carter was rich in family and friends but he is by no means ‘Willard’ rich. You don’t see Rosyln in $1000 shirts.
Jimmy made his money in the peanut business and did it with hard work and putting people to work rather than flipping companies and putting people out of work.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post Why Is Romney Trying to Turn Obama into Carter?
Jimmy was grew up as a peanut farmer in Georgia in dirt poor surroundings and went on to become governor, president and a nobel laureate.
Willard has a lot gall criticizing anyone from his background.

I think this whole thread has been taken over by Willardbots.

richardCA commented on the blog post Obama Leads Romney by Eight in Virginia
What is it w/ carguy and bsforbrains keep touting a 3rd party. Don’t seem to remember Nader impact 2000.
A 3rd party vote is a vote for Willard.
Being next to DC, Virginians know all federal contracting jobs will be thru Salt Lake if Willard is elected.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney to Speak at Hate Group Conference
I disagree. The Mormon church would love to have the second coming of Joseph Smith be in charge of the US of A. Also, thereafter all federal jobs would flow thru Salt Lake City.
Regarding the Not Willard. Since there are none left and you know Mittens hates his name Willard, henceforth he should be referred to as Not Willard just to piss him off.
(For those unfamiliar, Willard Mitt Romney was named after one of the richest Mormans, Willard Marriot, of Marriot Hotels fame).

richardCA commented on the blog post WI-Gov: Walker’s Built-In Advantages Get Him Just to 50%
Forgot to add.
Regrettably, appearance count too much in this day and age, why else would Willard and wife be using all that hair color.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post WI-Gov: Walker’s Built-In Advantages Get Him Just to 50%
Happened to be in Wisconsin before Walker was elected and saw a debate on TV between Walker and Barrett.
Although Barrett was knowedgeable and all, his appearances versus Walker could not have been more striking. Barrett the gray haired 60 something versus Walker the 40 something.
Does the Wisco Dem party really want to run Barrett again? Appearances count in this day and age.

richardCA commented on the blog post Romney Say, Romney Do
The upper middle class and above do not currently have a state and property tax deduction. The alternate minimum tax (AMT)requires these tax payers to calculate an AMT which does not allow one to include any write off for state or property taxes.
Thus, Willard’s proposal to eliminate the state and proeperty tax write-off only applies to middle and lower incomes.
i.e. He shifting more of the tax burden from the well off to middle and lower incomes. Kinda of like he did when flipping businesses.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post Romney Reveals Agenda Items to High-Dollar Donors
Short and to the point.
Willard’s proposal to eliminate state and property tax deductions shifts more of the tax burden to middle and lower income earners since this deduction has already been eliminated for higher income earners.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post Romney Reveals Agenda Items to High-Dollar Donors
Since the state and property tax deduction has already been eliminated for upper middle income earners and above thru the AMT, the jist of Willard’s proposal to eliminate these deductions is to INCREASE taxes for middle income earners and below since they would not be able to take this deduction.
It ain’t the 80′s no more where Willard can just flip businesses w/out anyone taking notice.
-
richardCA commented on the blog post Romney Reveals Agenda Items to High-Dollar Donors
Who cares whether Willard’s wife worked or not, the question all should be asking is when was the last time Willard worked?
Do we really want someone chronically unemployed for the last 5 years to be CEO of the USA? One example, look at Willard’s ‘decision’ to dump the auto industry if he was in charge.
An immediate example, Willard’s proposal to eliminate state and property tax deductions. They have already been eliminated for high income earners subject to the alternate minimum tax(AMT). One of the nice features of the AMT is one has to figure their tax without any state and property tax deductions.
One would assume Willard being the experienced CEO would know this but then again he probably doesn’t do his own taxes. Just more smoke and mirrors but hey he has to throw out some policy B.S. to make him look presidential.
