I supported Merkley for the Senate. We replaced Gordon Smith. If every state put one Jeff Merkley in for one Gordon Smith I think we would have change for middle class and working class Americans. Letting one Senator from one state stop all action, or requiring 60 Senators to all agree to get anything done is insane. It doesn’t work and if it isn’t fixed we are looking at some real social upheaval.
