Not me. No way. I’ll leave it blank or write in a name.

In December there was ‘outrage’, yelling behind closed doors at caucus meetings, representative saying they wouldn’t vote for the tax cuts for the rich etc. It was much theatre, I hope they mean it this time but hope is running thin. I love Bernie and he did a fine filibuster back then but didn’t convince anyone like the White House did, they got their votes.

I don’t know what he could do at this point. I wouldn’t trust any promises he makes at this point, it would be purely for the campaign and we know that means: we go back under that bus right after the election.
Trust lost is nearly impossible to regain. -

Have the dems ever accepted victory and not turned it into defeat? Obama will have his opportunity in the debt ceiling compromises that will surely come.

I couldn’t agree more. Lots of new voters came out to vote for Obama thinking he was ‘the one’. We lost those voters because he didn’t even attempt to do what the people who elected him wanted. They get into office and all we hear is how things just can’t get done and that’s why people don’t show up, it’s why we lost the House in ’10 and how Obama is likely to lose in ’12. They think they can have it both ways because we have no where else to go but they forget we can and do stay home.

This is getting so old. One would have to think that the dems are trying to lose. Maybe they are, a far more cushy job in lobbying or on a board somewhere is awaiting them so why fight for us?

It really is financial sense to them. The less information we are able to obtain the more right wing ideology will be able to pass as truth, the easier it will be for their favored candidates to win. They care more about the lack of regulations than ratings for their shows. DLC is the most [...]

I can’t see him criticizing Pelosi, she has been the good soldier, delivering on his campaign promises to the point that we lost control of the House. The Senate is a mess but he was there two years ago, why is this a big surprise to him? When the conservadems blocked legislation he treated them [...]
