  • Liz was happy for the chance to work in her chosen profession until she realized she was being played as a pawn in a propaganda war. Changing sides is not an effective solution.

  • If you are “going to get tor running” please don’t do it under Ubuntu. just get the newest version of the “Tails” linux distribution, as Jacob Appelbaum would insist. In many instances, walking naked is the best policy. But if you’re going anon, do it right.

  • Good work, Kevin. Even this snippet from your introduction is absolutely true, and widespread: “…local law enforcement agencies in the United States are manipulating or abusing public records request laws…”
The StingRay is only one technology supported by Harris. Their intent is to undermine the 4th and 5th amendments by technical, rather than political means. What would you like today? A rootkit installed by hardware implant, or a cellphone forensic device? Harris has it, and has experts from companies like IBM with training from the School of Revolving Doors at taxpayer expense. I’ve downloaded more than I can read tonight, Did you make it to this section of their site? http://download.harris.com/app/category.asp?prd=16&cat=109 And they also have a product for integrating healthcare data.

Spot on. News of the strange legislation coming from Raleigh doesn’t seem to have gotten far enough. It’s regrettable and suprising that you have no comments.

We already have 3 dozen people calling, and 600 more on the way. This isn’t frivolous. It is going to succeed, if only to force a statement by Obama as to whether he is with The People or The Corporation. Once this initiative attains a critical mass, a failure on the part of the POTUS [...]

Adam, I received your comment on Facebook. I agree that deeper problems need to be address, but this ruling can and should be corrected with a Constitutional Amendment. We have enough time, and the percentage of citizens who support this is greater than it was for the 24th Amendment, which overturned the Poll Tax. John [...]

We need to light up the White House switchboard with calls asking our President to urge the passage of an amendment to overturn the Supreme Court decision in “Citizens United vs Federal Election Commission” It undermines every type of campaign finance reform, and opens wide the spigot of corporate cash. Unfortuantely, yes I do. Do they still have “the lever” in California”? This is the year it is needed. Patch things up later.

I’m here, in case if you want to try to hack my site, which is something Republicans usually try to do in October every election year, but they didn’t even bother this year, and, well, who cares. Here’s the URL:

The time for this is in the primaries. Get some rest, then go to the polls and vote for the nearest Democrat. If you didn’t fight in the primary for the “Democratic wing of the Democratic Party”, well it’s just too late now. God bless Marcie Winograd, she fought the good fight yet again against [...]

That is a compromise led by an ignoramous by the name of Erskine Bowles. The Republican agends is to completely privatize social security, and what will that mean? I would insist that in Democratic primaries, we fight for the “Democratic wing of the Democratic Party”, as Dean would say, or that we must “Regain our [...]

It was only a week ago that George W. Bush stated that his one regret was that he was not able to privatize Social Security.

That’s the agenda of the Republicans, and the corporations that own them. Don’t believe the media that is 75%(or more) owned by Republicans. Wake up and vote.

If you haven’t voted early, make it the first task of your day. Get it done. In spite of all the griping we progressive Democrats have done about not getting our change, we know we’ve done far better in the past 2 years than in the previous 8. We have an EPA and a National [...]

  • Since this is perceived as a Democratic gathering, you can be certain, as always, it will have some yelling from Republican shills. In many races, the Republicans have not even managed to up a candidate who can go through the basic motions of the job. The oil companies just needs some robots to do their bidding –
and the Democrats have made an amazing difference in 2 years, even though many of us have griped about the many things NOT done. Take note that every single initiative was blocked by a minority of 40 in the Senate to an extent never dared before, and if the Republicans do not get stonewalled in thje same manner, they will take down Social Security and hand it over to the same people who burned you on your mortgage.

It was only a week ago that George W. Bush stated that his one regret was that he was not able to privatize Social Security.

If the Republicans gain a majority, they will have control of the schedule, and they have their marching orders, to the tune of oil rigs drilling new whole in the ocean, you will have your life savings ripped out of the social security account you have been paying into for your whole working life and it will be handed over to the banker, then George W. Bush will have his final, unsatisfied wish granted:

the workers will be fucked, and fucked for good.

Welcome the apocalypse, or fight for life right now.

I don’t believe you ever voted for a Democrat.
Message boards are filled with hirelings who sound just like you.

If you indeed did “elect these Democrats”, now is a good time to shoot yourself in the foot, which is the only shooting lesson the Republicans teach, or they would never win a single race.
