• Funding for Planned Parenthood was cut off. Funding for NPR was cut off. Congress can’t pass a ****** budget. Yet somehow we have money to launch yet another offensive in yet another middle eastern country even though its these military adventures that are bankrupting our nation. Does anyone in Washington even think logically anymore? WTF?

  • If corporations don’t want to pay taxes then I say, fine, but you won’t be getting any representation anymore either nor will you be able to contribute in any way to any political campaign or PAC or form 503c organizations for that purpose. Also, all your corporate lobbyists can go home now. They’re no longer allowed anywhere near Capitol Hill. When will this fiction of corporate personhood end? I’d love to see about half the SCOTUS justices retire under Obama’s tenure and new ones appointed that would put an end to corporate personhood. As it is the best we can hope is that the SCOTUS will stop expanding “rights” of corporate persons.

  • This guy? The same Haley Barbour that wanted a medicaid co-pay because he said that people were showing up at pharmacy drive-thrus in BMWs to pick up their prescriptions? He can’t even be original with his class warfare. Not to mention he was (is?) a lobbyist for every crooked big industry there is – oil, tobacco, health insurance. I’d like to say that the GOP is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, but unfortunately I know that they still have much, much worse they can trot out.

“it also reeks of no taxation without representation”

If only that worked in reverse so that corporations that pay no taxes would receive no representation and be forced to sit out the political process all together instead of buying election results.

Good for Michigan. I’m heartened to see protests against these attacks on workers spread across the midwest.
