SJay commented on the blog post Scenes From A Maul 2012
In general, I haven’t laughed so hard since the Giants beat the Pats on the way to Perfectville. And before that, it was the ’86 Series. It occurs to me that both those events had their locus in Boston as well.
Seriously, a lot of those people are friends of mine and I’m sad for them, even though their endless insistence that Obama is turning the U.S. socialist and is a Muslim is deeply irritating. I wish they didn’t think that way and I’m certainly glad my side won this time.

Here’s the sad thing about O’Rourke: 40 something years ago here was the editor of the local “underground” newspaper in my town. A more unabashed hippie leftist you could not imagine — and he was funnier then than he is now. I still have copies . . . .

As somebody named Daniel Ellard said over on TPM, if there’s something in your tax returns that makes Sarah Palin look like a better person for the job, maybe you’re in the wrong line of work.

Hey, I’m just a non-profit sector lawyer, but I am demanding that Mitt release his tax returns AND I will happily release mine too if that’s what he needs to pony up.

That same teabagging friend of mine who posted about our freedoms being lost today also told us a few years ago that there was no health care problem because “you can just go to the emergency room.”

I remember that game — I was washing dishes for a catered event and the woman supervising me had a thing for Craig Morton — based on having lived in Dallas when he was on the Cowboys.

SJay commented on the blog post There Will Be Teblood – The Unbearable-ing (updated)
I went downstairs after Denver lost the on-side kick and then I came back an hour later to see the SNF game and saw the score. WTF? I haven’t seen miracle wins like this since the ’85 Pats. Of course, that ended badly.

I’m holding off at least until they throw in the “Atlas Shrugged” DVD and free updates for all sequels. Then I’ll think about it.

SJay commented on the blog post #occupyNPR
“I don’t cover news. In none of the shows that I do, do I cover the news,” she said. “What is NPR afraid I’ll do? Insert a seditious comment into a synopsis of ‘Madame Butterfly?”
The funny thing is, I met Lisa Simeone two days before the 1984 election and she told me she was planning to play mournful music all evening long on the classical program she then DJ’d on WETA in case of a Reagan victory. (I did listen that night and she did not seemed to have actually done that.

Layla: Derek and the Dominos (Who’s Next would be an arguable sub)
Live: PFunk Earth Tour: Parliament (or Funketechy vs. the Placebo Syndrom)
Live at San Quentin: Johnny CashIf four are allowed, then either of hardtoport’s suggestions above or Europe ’72

Over at C4P, they’re attacking the story on the grounds that Sarah didn’t call the reporter herself, she had an aide do it — yet another example of the perfidious MSM as they see it.
