I also am an alcoholic, and one of the first things I learned in recovery is that while alcoholism may be the reason for my actions, it is never the excuse for my actions. If I did it, I own it. If she is an active alcoholic, she needs to step aside, whether or not [...]

socalmonk commented on the diary post Health Insurance Is Not Healthcare by JP Sottile.

    2013-01-13 20:36:13View | Delete

Hey, remember that Kucinich guy the democrats wouldn’t let in the debates? He said it…”Those other people are talking about insurance, I’m talking about healthcare.”

socalmonk commented on the diary post Old-School Harry Reid Treats Obama’s Social-Security-Cuts Offer Old-School by Teddy Partridge.

    2013-01-03 19:49:43View | Delete

Harry Reid is fully aware that while the democrats may have a lame duck President, they do not have a lame duck party. Mr. Obama is committed to the Kabuki of American democracy, where the republicans and the democrats perform a complicated drama in order to disguise the fact that the real contenders are neither [...]

Harry Reid finally grows a spine, a bit late in the game, but a spine, nonetheless, and gets punked for it by Teddy Partridge.

Everyone already knows that when a white man does something like this, he is a bad apple, nothing more, but when a person of color, or a non-Christian, non-Jew does something like this it is “those people, they have no respect for life and they hate our freedom.”

socalmonk commented on the blog post More Evidence Emerges That Romney Committed Felony By Lying to the FEC

    2012-07-16 07:55:35View | Delete

What gets most people prosecuted gets Romney and the other 1%ers a wink and a nod. If it isn’t equal it isn’t justice.Time to end this system of oppression.

    2012-07-01 17:02:52View | Delete

I have a refrigerator but nothing to put in it. Doesn’t matter, they turned off the electricity last week. See how well that works out? Lucky, lucky me.

socalmonk commented on the diary post What Even Woodward and Bernstein Can’t Say Out Loud: Nixon Wrecked the Paris Peace Talks by Phoenix Woman.

    2012-06-17 17:35:44View | Delete

That Kissinger sabotaged the talks has been known for years, and the assumption that it was on Nixon’s behalf was understood. This just verifies what has been presumed to be not only fact but common knowledge. Sadly, if an American President or his advisers commit treason or war crimes, he generally gets…a Nobel prize…Medal of [...]

    2012-06-09 09:07:04View | Delete

I am still amazed, though I know I shouldn’t be, that this is a legal issue rather than a safety/environmental issue, but then again, it is easier to change the law to suit the industry than it is to change the facts.

socalmonk commented on the blog post How Coverage of Obama’s Role in Drone Executions Provokes Liberal Outrage

    2012-06-03 08:53:48View | Delete

The coverage provokes outrage from liberals. Obama’s role in drone executions provokes outrage from progressives. Phil Ochs was right on the money on liberals.

Jennifer…Bisram? that don’t sound American. You look kinda dark, honey. Where you from? Because that “civil rights group” would have you’re a$$ on a plane in a hot minute if they had their way and didn’t kill you first. Does Fox really pay you that well?
