SomeGuy commented on the blog post NOM creating false division between NC NAACP and the black church community
Patrick Wooden is not a Democrat, just ask him. Reporters never do ask that despite the fact that when they interview him he is talking about politics.

Thanks for covering this.
The hate ammendment being on the May ballot will mean your blog will be much more influential than ever in the NC Democratic primary. Please look at this article posted minutes ago.

SomeGuy commented on the blog post Pro-amendment NC legislators: look at how many LGBT families will be hurt by your bigotry
Thanks for pointing that out. This will prevent benefits from being given in the eight local NC governments that currently give some benefits.
The Republicans have been pushing misleading spin, that may have made into some news reports. Thanks for clearing that up.

SomeGuy commented on the blog post It’s time for the ‘we need to protect marriage’ con to die
Good point Alvin. If this con game works, who knows what the Republicans will do next?
There is cause for some hope. The co founder of Facebook, originaly from North Carolina, has said he is committed to fighting this ammendment. He has just this weekend raised the awareness in NC and all over America about what is happening in NC and what it means, when he offered to donate $10 for every person who “liked” Equality NC on Facebook.

SomeGuy commented on the blog post NC House to vote on hate amendment; chair of NC Dem Party: Republican Priorities are Seriously Out of Whack
This must be fought. Right now the polls are against an ammendment according to PPP. If Republican ads run unanswered from now until May, people will be brainwashed into thinking the Republicans are “saving” marriage, and the Republican terrorists will reelected, to do more damage in the name of God.

House set to vote on same-sex union ban By Laura Leslie Posted: 2 minutes ago
“The latest version, S514, specifically exempts contracts entered into by “private parties.”The Republicans put in some language to make it more likely to pass, but this is an extreme bill.
Republicans are trying to spin it as if it is the same as it is now, but it is not. This bill will take benefits away from local government employees and harm local domestic violence protections.
