Because you think “gay” is synonimous with “lamo” or because you think he has suppressed homoerotic urges? I suspect he does not. Most mysoginists are not gay they are drawn to and also hate females. Most gay men do not hate women.

“C’mon. I know you can do it…” sounds pretty condescending.

This whole insulting hime by calling his sport “gay” is an unfortunate blight on an other wise amazingly cool project you have here. Let’s not call him gay. Let’s call him at work hehehe ;-)

    rspectfully your reader,

TBogg, thank you for this great site. I saw it on a friend’s facebook page and hopped on the google bandwagon. I just have to say I think Kevin had a point about not throwing gays under the bus in our efforts to spread the word about what a hateful man George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina is. I love everything everyone has been saying here but”golf is the third gayest sport” did make me wish “gay” hadn’t been used as an insult. It’s a bummer to see the word “gay” used like it’s a bad thing, right? Full disclosure: I used the word “gay” as an insult when I was 14. I just didn’t stop and think about it. I heard other people use it and followed along but it’s really important to not do that. If we want to be down on golf can’t we point out that it’s terrible for the environment? It excludes those who can’t afford to join a country club, so it’s kind of classist, right? The whole point of this discussion is to point out what a misogynistic ass George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina is. Let’s not throw gays under the bus. Yes, one of my younger sisters is gay, and, heck yeah, I’m a protective elder sis, but I hope I’d be saying this even if I weren’t the proud older sis of a gay. George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina: bad. Golf: bad. Gay: not bad. Okay everyone? Can we all drag George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina through the mud and leave “gay” out of it? Please?

Thank you, Kevin. That bugged me, too. I love everything everyone is saying here except “golf is the third gayest sport.” It’s a bummer to see the word “gay” used like it’s a bad thing, right?
