Kris, we had this out break happen on May 31, 1985. Look at the weather map and this crap started as it entered the hills of Pa. Atlantic Pa. is three miles south of the farm.

You need long stretches of flat ground to develop a tornado.
No, you don’t.

I just load the .22 with bird shot and blast the little pests. YMMV

Bore bees / Carpenter bees, hover as they catch flies. Bumble bees work on flowers and blooms. Different bees I’m sure. You can look for little piles of saw dust on the floors and look up. They can do a lot of damage over the years.

19th row from the bottom of that set is a hot plate with two tortillas.
Go figure. Heh. -

Sounds like a bore bee. They chew holes in your house. Look for small holes in the under side of your porch roof. Plug or poison the holes in the night.

I must admit that I’ve never seen WI soil. I would think it pretty good stuff being the Dairy State and all. Please don’t get me started on attachments. I have a weakness for garden toys.
I don’t have my Harley anymore but I will always have my Indian.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravely_TractorThanks for the post and host Elliott. Stuff to do now.

A Troy-bilt?? Well there’s your problem. Just kidding. What state are you in? I have black Appalachia sand here and I’ve never seen the bottom of it in my garden. The fact that it’s built up by 20 years of herfturds helps a lot too. I can run my Gravley with one hand. You have to know how to set it up. It pulverizes the soil a foot deep and when you walk in it, you sink in almost a foot. All plowed for the first turn-over. When we get back from Tx, I’ll roll it all over and plant about May 7-8th.

Have you ever gone deep into the woods and just sat for an hour? Listen to the different birds, the wind, or at some lake, or along a stream. Guess what, you are meditating.
