    This isn’t about whether Obama is culpable in protecting the banksters from criminal investigations and prosecutions. Of course Obama has.

    And this isn’t about whether Obama has been politically tone-deaf in defending Wall Street. Again, of course he has been.

    Look, I personally believe that — without exaggeration — Tim Gethner should probably be in prison right now for conspiracy to commit securities fraud. But that isn’t the issue here.

    The issue is whether, in making his statements, President Obama improperly weighed in on a specific investigation or prosecution…as he did with Manning and as Nixon did with Manson. Clearly, Obama did not cross the line here.
