Staggerlee commented on the diary post Obama’s Guiding Principle: Leave No One Accountable by Scarecrow.
I think strike one was his vote for NAFTA. It made me see that he was not all he claimed to be, but a vote for a republican was out of the question.
Fool me once errrr….won’t get fooled again (heh, heh ,heh). -
Staggerlee commented on the blog post Indiana Democrats Gamely Holding Out on Right to Work
Would like to see the football players stand with their union brethren and refuse to play the Super Bowl if this bill is passed.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Live Blog: President Delivers State of the Union Address
Well as usual Obama disappoints me, all rhetoric little substance, but then the Republican response comes on and I realize I won’t be able to not vote for him. I’m so tired of the way politics works (or doesn’t) in this country.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Scalia and Thomas Keynote Speakers at Dinner Thrown by Health Care Law Challengers
So if they hadn’t fed them these judges might have voted sympathetically for the heath care law? I know it smacks of impropriety but I don’t think they were ever worried about these two votes. Had they invited Sotomayor and Kagan, and they accepted, that would be troublesome.

Huh? At the risk of being sorry I asked, could you expand on that?

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Al Gore: Obama is Listening to Big Polluters Instead of Science
But, but, but some talking head on Dylan Ratigan just told me 78% of “liberal” Democrats approve of Obama. I’m liberal and voted Democratic but I sure as hell don’t approve of Obama.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post President’s Job Ideas Could Include Public Works Funding of School Maintenance
Another tax break? When do we just get around to paying them to pay us? Here’s a$100 tax credit Home Depot, now will you give me a $100 a week job?

Staggerlee commented on the diary post Any Last Word, Lawrence? On Tim Pawlenty? by Teddy Partridge.
This is the same guy that predicted Obama was going to perform a Farside Metzger followed by a Reach Around into a full Grandby (HT/The Mat.com) during the debt limit battle. He’s batting .333 since he got the reach around part right.

Actually in the streets is where we should be or organizing a general strike or something other than fuming on-line.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Whip the Super Congress: Head Count #2
Another exercise in futility, keep the liberals busy so they don’t get into trouble (by doing what they should be doing) I’ll say no more.
Does anyone really believe democrats won’t supply the necessary votes for this mess? -
Staggerlee commented on the blog post Gallup: Obama’s Job Approval Hits New Low
I always hate seeing these polls. It just means the president will interpret it as his not being center (Republican) enough. 2010 election meet your big brother the 2012 election and say hello to hideous right wing government.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Standard and Poor’s Should Not Be Able to Play Kingmaker in the 2012 Election
I’m concerned, but these people are MOTU. What chance do I, a poor put upon taxpayer, have in the scheme of things. I guess I’ll make my feelings known at the ballot box (I’m not sure how much longer I can continue the snark).
This whole episode is repugnant and anyone not having there head planted firmly between their ass cheeks should be outraged to the point of violins, I know I am. -
Staggerlee commented on the diary post Move Over Doug Feith: Lawrence O’Donnell Has a Friend by Scarecrow.
We live on Bizarro world where clapping harder for teapublican policies presented by what is supposed to be a progressive president will in fact help him achieve liberal goals. Larry’s brain has convolutions in its convolutions. You can’t make this shit up.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Late Night: The Wimpy Deal
You want some stimulus? End the three wars that we no about and you’ll see a nice little “peace dividend” as they liked to call the windfall from the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Staggerlee commented on the blog post Rod Blagojevich Found Guilty on 17 of 20 Counts
Is asking for money and receiving money for political favors the same thing?
Blagojevich, to my knowledge, never got a red cent yet he will be sentenced as if he did.
