Well, actually, if you believe that New York Times article they were doing exactly what they were paid to do by the big insurers. Those of us in that 99 percent of loserville can be damned…What’s disturbing about this is the lengths that Barack Obama went to do these things. It’s almost as if even had the House brassed up and passed a strong retroactive public option or medicare for all, with immediate enactments that you could feel, you get the idea that he would have vetoed that bill. Not that Mitt Romney would have done any better…

Well, I agree that primarying the president is the answer and is still the answer. I don’t think he’s unbeatable. You don’t need a billion to contest and win the democratic primary. You need about 35 million, again Labor could do it if they had a brain. Still holding my breath for the Hollywood Left. Here’s the skinny after knocking on doors in poor and middle class neighborhoods for six weeks. Obama still has the black vote locked up although if you ask them why they’re a little vague. Nothing wrong with tribalism I guess. However, the white vote is up for grabs. Apparently, there are lots of firebaggers out in the streets of Pittsburgh. Newsflash: most of the early primaries will be decided by the white vote.

This is why, instead of hating on Ralph Nader (I thought voter caging of over 60000 minority voters cost Gore the election, not Nader, that and not fighting for your vote as hard as Norm Coleman, or continuing not to care about the issue in Ohio 2004 or Wisconsin 2011…) on your front page, tactically sound Firebaggers should be working with Nader and Cornell West to recruit primary challengers to the president. My only complaint is that they should focus on no more than two, possibly even one. You don’t want to split the Anti Obama vote in the early runs….

PS: I do have a plan to create viable third party runs that doesn’t involve labor or Matt Damon or even Mike Moore. Need 4500 firebaggers times 10 dollars in order to see if a field canvass can make a third party candidate either a winner or competitive for under 45000…

Oh I think Mike Moore could do it. I’ll repeat my crazy dream. Find 300 fed up Hollywood millionaires like Mike Moore. Have them give 1 million dollars each. (That’s the old Newt number but I still think its correct.) Use that money not only to run somebody for president who we could trust a little but also 25 house runs and 5 senate seats. I would also take 25 million and advertise 2 party corruption with the same energy of the GEICO ads…Where the Justice or the New Democrats party wasn’t running then I would loyally support the better dems…

I’m actually preparing a larger piece called “The African American Argument for a Primary Challenge Against Barack Obama”. I think number one is “He’s not going to win anyway” and two is “Even if I win, I lose.”. He’ll just talk like FDR, although lately he hasn’t even done that (more like Hoover) and govern to Orrin Hatch’s urgings. I’m beginning to think that, as someone else commented here, that he is in fact a republican, wearing a pretty convincing disguise, even though ten percent of black americans vote republican. I never guessed my president was one of them. I guess there were blacks in the confederacy and jews that worked with Nazis. It happens.

I suppose judges are the best argument, but he won’t fight for them! At the end of a second term republicans will probably still control the appellate courts and they’ll always have some hand in the game in the DLCers that are appointed to the bench. He needs a primary opponent from the left. Of course, the nightmare is that Joe Manchin steps in and he would have actually have a great shot of winning…then where would we be…? Somebody with a shot at winning from the left, please run…
