Its’ interesting how music technology has changed. In the early days (late ’60s) of distortion rock, any guitarist trying to plug a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster into a Marshall stack would have been laughed off the stage. And even Stratocaster players had to use distortion boxes and/or preamps to get the edge provided by their more powerful humbucker-equipped Gibson playing friends.
Now, of course, any guitar is cool, and thanks for that. Because all electric guitars are cool!
While Heinlein is important, don’t start with SIASL; there are important books earlier in his canon. Toward the end of his career, he became a libertarian hedonist crank, with a heavy emphasis on hedonist. Earlier he actually had some ideas other than “fuck whoever you can” and “my special power is cooler than yours”.
I would recommend “Star Beast”, which contains the concept in re: building infrastructure projects that budgets specify both $$ as well as deaths that will occur. And “The Door Into Summer” is also a pretty rip-roaring read involving both time travel, morality, and justice.
Of course, YMMV.
Just dropping in late to say I saw Janis & Big Brother in ’68. Tore the place up!

On the other hand, the Kochs retained a heavy private security detail, which tracked resort guests deemed “suspicious,” erected a blockade Saturday to block a documentary camera crew from filming arriving guests, and removed a POLITICO reporter from the resort café under threat of arrest.
Security manned every doorway and stairwell near the ballrooms where Koch events were held, and threatened to jail this POLITICO reporter while he waited in line at the resort’s cafe, after he stopped by a Koch conference registration table.
The resort grounds were “closed for a private function,” the resort’s head of security, James Foster told POLITICO, ushering the reporter outside, where private security guards, wearing gold lapel pins bearing Koch’s “K” logo, threatened “a citizen’s arrest” and a “night in the Riverside County jail” if the reporter continued asking questions and taking photographs.

Chuckie really nails it, in the same way as Tbogg, with nice visuals.

That said, the premise of the Moore Award was flawed. Left-wing rage and ranting are nowhere as widely spread or mendacious as the right. No way in Hell.
Moore is a loudmouth, but he’s also 99.9% on point with everything he says. And I’m really tired of the false equivalence meme that Moore in the inverse of Coulter/O’Reilly/Hannity/Limbaugh etc. Shameful lying bastards on the right all. Moore ain’t that.
So to continue Tom’s point, while I never wish evil on people, all those idiots on the right should, as John Cole is fond of saying, Die In A Fire.
Finally, this proves that even though he has actually shown growth toward adulthood, Sullivan is still at heart a rightwinger, and will always be, I guess.

Ignorance is no excuse.
If she were a Dem, they’d already have her in chains & in jail.
As for turning the other cheek, fuck that. Hang her completely out to dry.
Yes, she’ll be a martyr for the foolish and brain afflicted teabaggers, but fuck them too.
