stevenjbailey commented on the diary post American Airlines Rejects Female Passenger Because Political Pro-Choice T-Shirt is “Inappropriate” by RHRealityCheck.
I love that t-shirt. I am also sure that if the passenger had an “I want to hit Obama with a rock” t-shirt the pilot would have done two things: moved the passenger to first class and Hi! fived them for having the same t-shirt the pilot has.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post NY Gov. Cuomo Creates Insurance Exchange With Executive Order
Here in Minnesota we have one of the better State healthcare systems (MNcare) which I think former republican Governor Arne Carlson created. There was a recent MPR show discussing the set up of exchanges and other requirements of the ACA. Governor Dayton’s team members on the show were quite open that it may be impossible to meet the deadline even with MN already being way ahead of almost all other states. They had no idea what many other states were going to do being that some hadn’t even started. The logistics of setting up the exchange seem to be an incredibly difficult task according to the panelists.

I totally agree. The other year writer and psychologist Peter Michaelson finish an article on how we got into Iraq with this:
“The theoretical psychologist, Carl Jung, predicted in his 1957 book, The Undiscovered Self, that we would come to a point in our history where, because of our superficiality, we would not be able to recognize evil and our participation in it.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post FDA Seeks “Voluntary” Limits on Antibiotics in Livestock
One of the very first appointments Obama made was to place Michael Taylor, former Vice-President and Chief Lobbyist for Monsanto, as the Deputy Commissioner of the FDA. It’s been all downhill from there. I can’t think of one “line in the sand” principle that Democrats stand for.

stevenjbailey commented on the diary post Death by Delay: Obama Team Stalls on Chemical Regulation by Rebekah Wilce.
I try to never comment anymore but I can’t help myself on this one. Every day I wake up and I think Obama couldn’t possibly suck more than I already think he does, but I am wrong almost everyday. At 52 my vote for Obama in 2008 was the worst vote I have ever cast.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post Legal Worries for Paterno Don’t End After Firing
The United States of America is rotten to the core! Taibbi’s recent post in the Rolling Stone about OWS is about this. There is nothing worth saving here.
As a note the Catholic Church has been implicated in the rape and sodomizing of 10,000 times more children than this Penn State deviant. Why is there a brick left standing in their churches?

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post Why Does Justin Bieber Want to Jail Amy Klobuchar?
I agree! Though Franken has had some good moments he is basically invisible. I even know people who know him and I never hear a thing about him. Klobuchar is just a pure politician with out a thread of ethics, nothing more. An empty paper bag is better than Klobuchar.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post Why Does Justin Bieber Want to Jail Amy Klobuchar?
As a reluctant MN resident for 19 years, Senator Klobuchar is representative of todays worthless democrats. In her first year of office she voted almost lockstep with Senator Norm Coleman. She is another democrat that I will never vote for again along with Obama!

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post FHFA IG: Fannie Mae Knew About Foreclosure Fraud in 2003
I am very confused by this article as someone who has been following the mortgage fiesta and hangover for a very long time. There wasn’t rampant foreclosure fraud in 2003. In Fact in 2003 we were hip deep in mortgage palooza when the whole country was on the pigs back and anyone could even lie about having a pig and get a “no doc 5/1 arm”. I’m not saying in any way that Fannie and Freddie haven’t been criminally negligent in almost everything they do but no one wanted to no anything in 2003.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post Obama Shelves EPA’s Ozone Restrictions
Obviously you aren’t a 13 dimensional chess player. It’s the same way you fix the unaffordability of Health Care by making it illegal not to buy it. The “Obama” will announce this coming week his solution to unemployment. He is going to ask for a sweeping law making unemployment illegal.

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post Obama Announces Regulatory Speed-Up for Infrastructure Projects
Once Obama approves the Tar Sands pipeline it will be champagne and caviar for everyone. Jobs for all! We need more road projects because they create development that creates growth and a total win win for everyone. Jesus even said growth is what brings humanity to god. We are doomed!

stevenjbailey commented on the blog post US Sought “Talking Points” to Combat Impact of French Documentary on Monsanto
I didn’t see a mention of this yet. Obama appoints Michael Taylor, former Monsanto Vice President, as the FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods. It was one of the first clues that Obama had very different ideas than his voters.
One of my favorite Bill McKibbon quotes was one he used in an address to the Bioneers a few years back.

I haven’t posted here for a long time ( but I read FDL often) but I had to sign back in just to say “nice job”. Very nice piece on how Obama has made the majority opinion of Americans completely irrelevant.
