Instead he is capitalizing on the absurd juxtaposition of calling a clearly misogynistic homophobe’s favorite thing (golf) “gay” for the dualistically ironic comedic effect of 1) pointing out George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina’s foolishness for earnestly employing “gay” as “lamo” (ie, a joke for those “in the know”, such as your enlightened self) as well as 2) verbally stinking a thumb in the eye of George Tierney of Greenville South Carolina given that he will most certainly see all references to “gay as lamo” as being in earnest and not in irony.
