The guy who thinks whistleblowers are more deserving of the full force and penalty of law than torturers, war criminals, those who commit massive fraud, or those who spy on Americans in contravention of said law.

    That’s who Obama is.

useful or harmful for political purposes.

That appears to be the limit of any public argument over the drone program.

Biggest crook in the treasury department maybe EVER.

Considering there’s still money in circulation with Larry Summers name on it, that’s a tough race to call.

    Words fail me.

What was that favorite refrain of authoritarians everywhere revelations of mass spying on Americans in violation of FISA: if you haven’t done anything wrong, you have nothing to hide.

Apparently, Chicago PD has lots to hide.

“Once all this stuff can be recorded, there’s going to be a lot more of this snooping around by reporters and bloggers…”

Makes me wonder what Judge Posner got to hide, as well.

Joan must have said something negative about Obama, so either she had a come to Jesus talk with someone at the DNC, or she simply took it upon herself to burnish her veal pen credentials.

There’s video of his arrest at FluffPo. From the audio it sounds like he was given the opportunity to leave and refused. Who was filming, and were they arrested?

In fact, they are being indicted for ripping off the bank.

Sadly, and hilariously, all part of a pattern.

strangely enough commented on the blog post Slap on Wrist in Haditha Massacre Resonates in Iraq

    2012-01-25 17:56:54View | Delete

Part of the problem is the number of moving parts involved in Syria, further complicated by what took place in Lybia. Israel would surely like to see instability that weakens or removes Assad, perhaps the US goverment as well. Skepticism of everyone’s motives, and sources of armaments, are only natural.
And once both sides start shooting, no one looks like they are a cause worth supporting.

That said, targeting RC is despicable.

And yet, child soldier Omar Khadr can be charged with “murder in violation of the law of war,” for allegedly throwing a grenade at U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. After spending eight years at GTMO.
