It’s been a while. Grappling with some health issues here. I’ve gone through tons of meds over the last 6 mos trying to find one effective on my hypertension without debilitating side effects. May have finally struck gold but it’s early yet… time will tell.
Interesting you raised the pod subject. You may recall I advocated pods (citing personal experience) when you were trying to decide. Well, I finally got back into my (2 gasp!) pods a couple of weeks ago. Turns out that most of the stuff I couldn’t bear to part with then now seems expendable. That said, I refuse to consider the funds spent over the years to preserve my stuff as wasted. I’m a different person today and coming from a different perspective. Those things are no longer tied to me in the same way they were. Perhaps you’ll have a similar experience.
Not to say there aren’t things I’ll regret disposing of, though the biggest stunner is the huge shift in the now practically non-existent used book business. If you know of anyone looking for a ton of books *about* mystery fiction, I’d love to hear about it. Otherwise, I’m afraid they are destined for Goodwill.

Suz, I don’t watch much tv any more and don’t miss it. Irks me to pay big bucks for cable in order to be bombarded by propaganda and commercials.
For a while I was working up a serious C-SPAN addiction. Now I just use an antenna, which gets me pbs and a couple of network channels.

Four years – that IS hard to believe.
Ah, the perennial search for the perfect pink lemonade cake recipe! Not on the current agenda. I’ve managed to knock off 20+ lbs pretty easily (probably my meds)and don’t wanna undo that.
In the usenet days, I gained weight just reading rec.food.cooking. Recently have been playing with the Yummly recipe search engine more than I ought;-)
