The citizens of my city passed a referendum asking law enforcement to re-prioritize marijuana possession as a low priority. The people of the state voted to permit medical marijuana and several businesses opened up to provide Medical Marijuana for patients. Since then, the feds have swept in an arrested people, confiscated money and records, material and equipment related to Medical Marijuana. Unless and until the Federal government changes its outlook on things, local voters in Detroit are kidding themselves if they think they will be an enforcement-free zone. Not going to happen so long as DEA feels it has the stones to sweep in on them.

Absolutely. I want the Democrats to be led by a guy who really wants to win AND then govern. Dean isn’t perfect but he fits the bill better than anyone else the Dems have on the field.
