  • Does anyone else think the currently operating nuclear reactors in CA should be closed immediately before the same sort of disaster occurs, since I believe that there are four of them built on faults same as the reactors in Japan which are in trouble?

Does anyone really care if they indict Ailes? All they will accomplish by an action like that is stir up more hate from the right (and more votes) – can’t indict the Black Panthers, but no problem going after political enemies, etc.

No. More like the Tea Party got into bed with the scum sucking p.o.s. Rethugs like Armey.

  • Have you looked at the combined total of network news viewers recently? Nobody, with the exception of the brain dead, those over 85 confined to nursing homes, and those under 2 yrs. old with TV as their babysitter, all physically unable to change the channel, are getting their news from the networks. Check out the numbers…

I hear that “I pay your salary” bullshit daily.

Guess what? The taxpayers do pay your salary and you’re about to find out that the taxpayers don’t work for you even though that is apparently your mistake belief.

I think the Feds will attempt to bail out CA and Illinois, but that will be the extent of it because taxpayers will never stand for paying what would be required to make whole the union pensions in every state that have been frittered away by union leadership and over promised by politicians. There are only two choices: Completely bankrupt the private sector of each state until there are no jobs except unionized gov’t ones; or wait for the total collapse that is coming down the road regardless, since we long ago passed the point of no return. Since the Fed appears to be trying to push the inevitable collapse as far out into the future making it far worse than it has to be, I would put my money on them making an attempt to try to save the gov’t pensions for a few more years if they can, at least past the next election.

“The EPA is discouraging job creation in the field of clean coal…”

That’s because they want you in the dark and the cold, not able to pay exorbitant rates for electricity and heat. You will be much easier to control than you are now.

  • They have yet to grease Trumka’s palm enough to get him on board. He’s more than willing to sell out the union members who pay his salary as soon as the price is right.

Did you forget that Obama will still have a veto pen after January? He can stop anything he chooses and there is nothing the Republican House will be able to do about it. That’s why the Republicans are being so quiet. It’s this deal now, or no deal next year, plus Obama can blame them for being terrorists and raising taxes on middle class voters.

  • Why would anyone believe ANYTHING that comes out of Trumka’s mouth? The Politico might be a less than credible source, but compared to Trumka, they are gospel.

  • OR, maybe it is Obama’s intention to raise taxes on everyone and blame it on the Republicans for refusing to allow the current rate for the middle class to pass and insisting on “tax cuts for the rich.” There is no way the Republicans in the next Congress can re-institute the Bush tax rate once the cuts expire. Even if they get the Senate to go along, Obama can still veto it.

Anybody looking at what is happening and not realizing that the purpose is to destroy the middle class, and this country, is either blind or stupid IMO. The Fed is driving up inflation and destroying the dollar so that those on fixed incomes will be forced to live on their savings since there will be cuts to SS and Medicare coming from the Gov’t at the same time, while those with jobs will see no pay raises. Heavy hitters have all moved into gold, or put their savings into foreign currencies, while ordinary people with their dollar denominated savings will be forced into volatile markets or have their diluted dollars eaten up by inflation.

And you believe that one worker is going to pay the benefits of 4 or 5 retirees in the near future? If that’s so, those checks will be mighty small!

May as well be invested in toilet paper, as that, at least, has some use. With the Fed monetizing the debt, do you actually believe that any of these “notes” will ever be used to fund SS? If so, I guess you can fool some of the people all the time.

Yes, they can keep their Ponzi scheme running for awhile longer if they do that. Or they can let the whole thing go belly up now by doing nothing, but that likely will get a lot of them forced into exile or with the need for permanent bodyguards.

“Why all this hullabaloo about dismantling social security.”

Because it’s a Ponzi scheme and it has passed the tipping point where it begins to collapse. Look at the numbers, do the math.
