TElden commented on the blog post Mormon’s Secret: Get Into Mitt’s Pants!
Lisa,
Are you going to follow this up with articles on the “secret” undergarments of Orthodox Jews, Muslims, and the Sikhs? How about all the outer ceremonial religous garments of the Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglicans? -
TElden commented on the blog post Mormons Proxy Baptize Ghandi
“Mormons” (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) baptize the living on behalf of the dead because of Jesus’ statement, “Excpet a man be born of water and of the spirit [baptism], he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”(John 3:5) and the practice of the early Christians of baptizing for the dead (1 Corinthians 15:29). Such persons do not automatically become “Mormons”; thir soul must accept the baptism in order for it to be valid. “Mormons” believe in three heavens (2 Corinthians 12:1-2)and baptism is only necessary for the highest heaven. Instead of being offended, readers should understand that whoever submitted the name for the baptism of Mahatma Gandhi was saying that he deserved to be offered admission to the highest heaven.
