Anti-War Republicans?
Yeah, both of ‘em. -
terryd303 commented on the blog post McCaskill Plane Flap Strikes at Her Strengths
I have no tears for McCaskill—she’s a practicing blue dog and deserves to be retired like Blanche Lincoln in Arkansas. Missouri won’t wake up until the inmates control their asylum. We’re already seeing attempts to rescind child labor laws. Mark Twain sure doesn’t live here anymore.

terryd303 commented on the blog post Polling Shows Democrats Poised to Make Big Gains in 2012 House Races
I agree with many that it would be easier, cheaper, quicker, etc. to just commandeer the existing shell of the Democratic Party. Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, etc. will reveal new and real progressive Democrats. We need to purge the party of DINOs and frauds like BHO.

terryd303 commented on the blog post Late Night: Pouting Baby Wants to Know Why Scottdemort Hates Teachers
What we’re seeing is a concentrated efforts to close whatever “commons” remain (i.e. AT&T and the internet). It is going to take all of our time, money and votes to beat back this well-financed and coordinated effort from the masterbaters of the universe.

Has anyone seen Obama since this started?—why is he getting a free pass for hiding out from his base?

terryd303 commented on the blog post Bardella Email Scandal Reveals Sorry State of DC Journalism
BTW, the famous founding fathers were aware of this, they just thought the “marketplace of ideas” would be a busy place. They didn’t factor in late stage Capitalism with its preference for monopoly vs,. marketplace.

terryd303 commented on the blog post Bardella Email Scandal Reveals Sorry State of DC Journalism
We need to wake up here, a journalist is an employee—not a free agent. Why is anyone surprised when they toe the company line, whether in Washington, New York or South Succotash. Objectivity is a joke—always has been.

Could any of the commenters summarize for me the total amount of support for the people of Wisconsin to date, by Obama. Do we ever know when we can count on this guy?

terryd303 commented on the diary post I’m Not GWB, Love Me by Bin Quick.
With all the discussion about a third party for Liberals & Progressives I agree with Bin Quick, the Democratic Party is intact and in place—it just needs a heart and some soul. The DLC owned it for 20 years. I believe we need to focus on getting progressives elected locally and focus no higher than [...]

You know what’s really hard? Try to find one of these Neocon perpetual Risk players with a record of military service. They’re all draft dodgers.

When are the people going to wake and realize that there is indeed a class war in America and we’re losing.

terryd303 commented on the blog post Kansas GOP Moves to Make it Harder for Young, Urban, Poor to Vote
The good news is Kansas has very few young or urban. They do much better in the poor category. Add Kansas to the list of States I will not knowingly support economically. This list includes Arizona, South Dakota, Indiana and the old Confederacy.

terryd303 commented on the blog post In Tax-Cut Capitulation, House Democrats Again Redefine Pathetic
Progressives have to put aside their POTUS fetish and take time to discipline the Blue Dogs. Can we agree that it is open season on Blue Dogs from this point on? There are 25 or so in the House and many in the Senate. While whacking Blue Dogs we have to also examine such sell-outs as Kucinich and Durbin. A Progressive Congress is critical to foil any village idiot the Republicans and MSM choose to elect in 2012.

terryd303 commented on the blog post Early Morning Swim: Jane Talks Tax Cut Deal, DREAM Act on Lawrence O’Donnell
Like those above, I’m on to PINO (Progressive in Name Only) politicians who protest for us in public and vote against us in private. The question, for years now, has been what to do about it. If we would have made it a priority I believe we could have saved Grayson or Feingold.
We are a borderline Failed State. It calls for dramatic action if we are going to reverse this march to fascism.
We laugh at the tea party and point out their illiterate signs—but they have put their party on notice. We have not. We’re still arguing over Obama’s chess moves. Someone of us is always there to give us the “lesser of two evils” admonishment.
We need leaders with passion rather than a vocabulary. Bloggers like Jane, Rachel, Randi, etc. can aid and abet but they can’t lead. BTW, how many people give Nader credit today for calling out Obama as the corporatist he is back in 2008?

terryd303 commented on the blog post Senate Tax Cut Vote Plans Scuttled
I agree with Kafka. Pelosi, Reed & Co should just dig in their cowardly heels a la Republicans, and delay until Dec 31, when they all expire. They certainly don’t need a 60 vote majority in the Senate to pull it off. Then Mr. Bipartisan could promise tax cuts for those under $250,000 income in his 2012 campaign—doubt that anyone would believe this time though.
