Seems straightforward to me. She wasn’t impressed. Can’t understand why anyone thinks it’s a big deal.

Maybe it’s just me. Has this lady, or anyone else, read any of the titles of any of your run-of-the-mill dissertations? In non-black studies? Or actually read any of your run-of-the-mill dissertations at least in part? Maybe I suffer from what America’s dissertation-writers call a “biased sample.” All I know is that a good number of them are simply sloppy discussions about poorly drafted questionnaires that are supposed to result in something described as “science,” which, on a good day, might pass for common sense, but on a less than good day never would get any traction anywhere outside of a Ph. D. program.

Thaumaturgist commented on the blog post Andrew Breitbart’s Big Death
What I admired about Andrew is that he told the truth, no mater how much it hurt.
A 43-year-old American is struck dead on the street and the cause of death is “natural causes?”
To refuse to tell us the cause of death is to suggest that Andrew was just another conservative hypocrite.

No, they didn’t rely on the psychiatrists. If they had, the church would have treated it as a public health problem. Instead, the church treated it like sin, and took the position that no priest, anywhere, would ever be free of sin.

Tis a small point.
Catholics are named after saints. I inquired of the Google. Turns out there was a St. Callistus, who attained martyrdom at the hands of the Saracens in Gaul. It was easier to become a saint in those days.
Next question: How do we get from Callistus to Callista? Well, back in the days when the nuns taught in the Catholic schools, every new nun got a new name. Had to be the name o a saint. Had to different from the names of all the other nuns in the new nun’s order. Ran out of girls’ names. Had to use feminized forms of boys’ names. I offer this analysis as a way of explaining how good Catholic parents in a small town in Wisconsin could come up with a name like Callista.
This leads to a higher level of analysis than heretofore has appeared in this thread.
She was named after a nun; she was raised to follow in the footsteps, as well as she could, of her namesake. She has the nun’s visage. That’s as far as I can go.

The part about creating the Remington blot action to fight the dinosaurs and the homosexuals actually is in the bible. http://www.theonion.com/articles/new-edition-of-bible-specifically-mentions-second,17882/ But God didn’t create shit ten thousand years ago. It was October 23, 4004. http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/scopes/ussher.html And what God did on the seventh day, when everyone else was resting, was create Basset Hounds.
