    I moved to Minnesota in the early 90′s to go to grad school. Skip was the Attorney General at the time. The first time his name came to my attention was when he ran a sting trying to entrap small businesses into dumping toxic waste. He didn’t see if 3M or any other large producer of waste would fall for the scam, just little businesses. He even charged a couple of them, as I recall. After that I couldn’t just couldn’t him any slack. He was so obviously trying to use the AG’s office as a springboard to bigger things and the fate of the little people seemed of no import to him. Whatever Jesse’s flaws, he seemed like he is trying to the right thing.

    I voted for Jesse. Of course he was running against Norm Coleman and Hubert Humphrey’s idiot son Skip. It was kind of like a vote for Ralph Nader, but much more entertaining.

    TLR-2s = flashlight
    Trijicon = scope

    So, as far as I can tell he’d have fer-sure, in a school at throwing chalkboard eraser ranges, have used his scope to acquire a target that he was shining his flashlight at in broad daylight, and put more than a dozen rounds on target.

    And I’m the Czar of all the Russias. I am.

    Really

    I lived on Long Island for a year when I was 4 (and then moved to San Diego). As I recall, there were a bunch swings and a slide that were really fun.

    And it’s not a dragonfly. It looks more like a damselfly to me.

    5 sons, 0 daughters… sparks up the old calculator… the chances of that happening are 1 in 32. Could there have been sex-selection abortions in the Romney family? Is it irresponsible to speculate? It would irresponsible not to.

    22! I must be Cornell West’s teaching assistant. If only you could score points for having family that’s been on Oprah. In that case I’d at least be inching toward Real American status.

    If you head down the coast to Montara, La Costanera serves yummy Peruvian food. And it’s right on the beach for the nice sunset assuming there’s no fog.

    I always think of George Carlin at times like this: “Have you ever noticed that the people who are against abortion are the ones you wouldn’t want to fuck in the first place?”

    That picture. The first time I saw it I thought that for a self-proclaimed hunter she sure looks unfamiliar with the way to hold a rifle. Then I saw the clip of her blazing away at that caribou (while daddy worked the bolt for her) and my suspicions were confirmed. What we’ve got here is a woman that couldn’t apply a 2nd Amendment Remedy if her life depended on it.
