And by the way, Marcos you dumbass, it’s “democratic.” If you want people to listen to you, mastering English would be a good start.

The point is not whether Newt should be investigated. Waste of time. The point is, he should never, ever, be taken seriously again. Luxuriating in Tuscany while ignoring the debts that you’ve run up shows that you are utterly without principle. Who will ever pay to hear him speak again? And what kind of person would not find that indifference to the consequences of one’s actions objectionable?

tothemainerborn commented on the blog post James O’Keefe Finds Latest Liberal Plot: Smallish Progressive Think Tank EPI

    2011-10-18 16:10:40View | Delete

Ok, OFG, you did show EPI making seemingly contradictory assertions, however, context is everything. They are asserting that the Bush tax cuts did nothing for the middle class, being targeted toward the wealthy. The years since Bush’s 2003 tax cuts show this to be true. Jobs were not created by cutting taxes for the wealthy; their incomes have risen sharply, job numbers have declined. The last quote, “in support of Obama’s deal,” was talking about tax cuts and credits TO THE MIDDLE CLASS. Putting money into middle class hands is by definition, economic stimulus, because we have no choice but to spend it. So EPI was correct again. Your original statement that EPI plays politics with their research was disingenuous, making it seem as though EPI was finding opposite results based on the party in power when actually their findings are logical and correct in both instances.

One sees this a lot in right-wing argument; a blurring of the facts to convince the credulous. Because you know that any explanation countering such an assertion loses three quarters of the audience.

the only interesting “artifact” in this whole thing is the right wing reaction to an utterly meaningless observation.

    2011-10-18 14:32:27View | Delete

Hey OldFatGuy, we know, we know, you can always find an example here or there of Dems or Liberals doing the wrong thing–just like Conservatives. The difference, of course is that for Conservatives it’s a way of life, and for Liberals you are pointing to isolated incidents. And I seriously doubt that O’Keefe’s purpose is to prove that “both sides do it.” His purpose is proving that liberals are evil hypocrites. He has failed to prove his thesis with ACORN, NPR, Senator Landrieu and now EPI. He has no regard for the truth, all that matters to him is perception, and that is what he’s trying to impact. He’s a creepy little dipshit who should dig a hole and crawl into it.

Hey, how about a link or two on your assertions regarding EPI?
