With the combination of the party platform and the people who spent 4!/2 years trying to demonize Obama it would have been impossible for any sensible person not to have re elected Obama. If the Republican party does not renounce the extreme right wing religious fanatics that they hoped would lead them to victory they may never win another presidential election.
