I admit to being part of the problem, as I live in a relatively left-leaning city(Tucson)yet I spend almost no time researching up and coming progressives-in-training.

Your point about the right’s battle plans are spot on. Look how much damage they’ve inflicted just by crashing the School boards. Of course, our electing school board members is not conducive to seating school policy-wonks/experts anyway.
