I lost lulu, my female terrier/chi mix, to cancer just after Christmas this year, on the night of a blizzard so bad in NJ I blew out a tire on my care hitting a curb when I tried to get her to the all night vet. She died in my arms at home at 5:30 in the morning. A couple of months later her brother, Charlie, was hit by a car when the friend I had recruited to let him out on a night I couldn’t be home let him through the gate. He pulled through after three days in emergency care; I won’t tell you how much it cost. I don’t care. I’ve got my dog back.
I feel for you, T. Good luck to the pup; they’re the best friends we’ll ever have.
