Twain commented on the diary post Perhaps the Time Will Come by Isaiah 88.
Thank you, Isaiah. I’m so angry some of the time that most things don’t bring me to tears but this post does. It’s just lovely. If Anne Frank and Dr. King can still see good in people, I suppose I should, too.

Twain commented on the diary post Thank the Lord? by Elliott.
Open mouth and insert both feet. How could he be so dumb? It would have been a silly remark under any circumstances.

Twain commented on the blog post Late Night: A Poor Neighborhood Is Not FOR You
Who the heck does she think she is? She’s a tour guide – not exactly a member of the 1% and could lose her job tomorrow. She’s an idiot.

Twain commented on the diary post Jamie Dimon’s Sleazy Record by masaccio.
Dimon is the poster boy for everything that is going wrong in our country. Would like to see him in jail. He could wear his special cufflinks with his orange jumpsuit.

Twain commented on the diary post Addressing Seditious Rhetoric… by jaango.
Cornell West said the other day that telling the truth could get you killed. I imagine he is right.

Now that’s a crime since they have wonderful olive oil. I can’t imagine a Greek meal with bread and oil.

Twain commented on the blog post Attorney General Eric Holder Testifies Before the House Judiciary Committee (Live Updates)
The time is near, IMO, that Obama will wish that he had the support of those of us on the left. He’s enjoyed slapping us around and the chickens are now coming home to roost. I’m delighted.

Thanks for the explanation. Don’t think I’ve heard of this crime before but criminals have a lot of imagination.

Twain commented on the diary post I have a dirty little secret by Cynicman.
I went through the same thing with a daughter who is now 54. We did not have any contact for many years although I was able to hear about her from my other children. And then one day, about 5 years ago, the phone rang and there she was, saying “Mom, I love you.” We [...]

Twain commented on the diary post The Assault on Food Stamps Takes Legislative Form, and Jamie Dimon Profits! by Ohio Barbarian.
It would be such a good idea for Jamie Dimon to go to jail. He is beyond sleazy. Thug in a suit.

Twain commented on the diary post As Death Toll in Bangladesh Collapse Climbs Past 1,000, Another Factory Fire Claims 8 Lives by Michelle Chen.
This is one of saddest events in the current news cycle – many sad things. And it was totally unnecessary. I have hope that the very bad publicity it has received will force the clothing industry to change it policies instead of grasping for every cent of profit. Thank you for the information.

This looks like metal – is it? Thanks for the art. It’s lovely.

Twain commented on the diary post Saturday Art: Ray Harryhausen, RIP by dakine01.
I never saw Jason and the Argonauts but that scene is so interesting that I think I may need to see it. Thanks, dakine.

The 4-D movie idea sounds like great fun. Would like to experience that.
Also, could you talk a little more about the recording devices being given to the elderly. Interesting concept.

Twain commented on the blog post Immigration System Seen as Highly Dysfunctional
Some of the things the Rs want in the bill will make becoming a citizen horrible if not impossible. I have been watching this play out for 40 years at least and I think that nothing will be done or it will be so bad that it’s useless. Some loon said yesterday that people in turbans were coming across the border!

Twain commented on the blog post Late Night: The Last Throes: Way Underrated
The Senate is a total write-off. If it disappeared tomorrow no one would notice. The House resembles a bunch of children who are high on something or other.
If it were not so dangerous it would a hoot to watch, point, and laugh. Thanks, hag, for another very nice post.

We used to call that a whiskey voice. Certainly would apply to Janis – gone too soon.
