The 28th Amendment is now in effect. It nullifies the 4th Amendmenet.

I’ve been studing privacy issues for more than 20 years. See http://bgladd.blogspot.com/. It was the clear intent of the Founders that public matters be presumptively PUBLIC and private matters be presumptively PRIVATE (“presumptively,” not “absolute” — look up the difference should you need to). The circumstance is now 180 degrees the inverse, in the name of a cowardly expediency.
The dragnet worked really well protecting the Boston Marathon, didn’t it?

Interesting comments. Comrades.
He will not be impeached. He will serve out his second time and retire on your dime.
Shit; look at Bush. He and Cheney et al should be in chains at the Hague.

“Yes, that’s right. If you care to share your political views with others, online or in person, prepare to be spied upon by the government. “Homeland Security” means policing opinions”

I’m relocating back to the Bay Area this year. I ride BART at every chance. I arrive fresh and relaxed everywhere I go. Plus, I get the benefit of actually walking between points of interest & transit.

Do we have any good stats on the proportion of U.S. workers between ages 65-70? The proportion of people who continue working past age 67 but take SS (that will include me as of Feb 9th)?
I guess one question is: what kind of additional barrier to workforce entry would this pose for younger workers/applicants? Has anyone modeled that? i.e., is it “cheaper” in the aggregate to have older people retire?

“Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) is calling on his fellow Republicans to let the country default if necessary to force Obama to agree to cuts.”
__That would be a violation of his Oath, over which I would have him impeached. It is the constitutional obligation of Congress alone to ensure that “the public debt…shall not be questioned.” Forget all this gimmicky crap about the 14 Trillion Dollar Coin ordered by the President. There is not one word in the Constitution giving the president authority to borrow.
In contrast to
ARTICLE I, Section 8
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
To borrow money on the credit of the United States; …
To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures; …

I propose that all legislation be subject to a 30-day ‘Public Review and Comment Period,” similar to draft regs published in the Federal Register, prior to enactment.
