UCT1 commented on the blog post Anwar Al-Awlaki Finally Gets A (Show) Trial
Yours is a tiresome and uninformed schtick. No war was declared. You cannot declare or wage war on a single individual. International treaty obligations trump U.S. statutes. War can be declared only by Congress. Preventive war is a war crime. The only people against whom the AUMF authorizes military force have already been dealt with, as the government’s many claims of victory attest. People elect representatives for many reasons, not just foreign policy concerns. A majority do not vote for those elected. Representatives do not in fact represent the common people.

> Someone points a gun at you, I guess you would suppose
> (believe) he means to kill you?Someone says someone else is pointing a gun at you, I guess you would suppose (believe) the someone was telling the truth about the someone else, even with no evidence presented to you whatsoever. Cuz the someone is someone you have decided to believe at all costs in spite of the fact that the someone who told you that you were in grave and imminent danger is a known liar.
I think Obama’s speech is a move to try and preserve the blind faith you place in him, without actually doing anything to earn it.

I’ll just give you a clue, since you have none:
You, like her, care much more about your vagina than the children being dronedeathed for no good reason by your miserable failure of a President, Barack Obama.
(But they won’t be able to snicker and giggle at you by reading my Burn Book — they’ll have been murdered.)
Figured it out yet, sport?

Really AWB? When you have people banned for merely accurately taking your name in vain and criticizing your approval of dead 4-year-old Muslims when dronedeathed by your beloved President/Father Figure, you have no credibility on the diversity front. Just being sarcastic, stache-dude, please don’t ban me. And don’t ask what AWB stands for.

Please keep in mind that this self-promoting publicity advice is from Rebecca Solnit, who “has now won three heats of #BiggestLiberalAsshole2012 and in my view the voters have gotten things exactly right.”

Wait, you think it’s a scandal that the President of the United States began wiretapping all the journalists in his country right after he took office swearing to uphold the Constitution in 2009?

Secret agent stuff. Don’t worry your greasy little head about it.

Yes. You say that in order to avoid responding to the substance of my comment.
> You also know you don’t have the stones to blog and take the heat.
This is heat? More like a Frosty — which I just served you. (NB: that’s something else you won’t understand but others will. Just walk it off.)

>So no one has taken offense to words and taken some sort of action to redress the grievance?
Am I responsible for all the crazy shit you might do in reaction to me saying “2 + 2 = 4″? I think not. You should be reasonably expected to counter with more words, like “2 + 2 = 5″ (as you apparently believe) but not to start extrajudicially killing people. If society reasonably expects you to go off like that in response to mere words, I suppose you should be pre-emptively and indefinitely detained before you have a chance to do that — a policy you would no doubt approve.
