Workingclass/Liz – We always have a big Labor Day event at our local Labor Temple here in Madison. I couldn’t go this year – not feeling well. I wonder if Aldous was there?
I heard this year’s event had a massive turn-out. Would have been a perfect opportunity to introduce himself. -

I agree with uneasyone. How are we ever going to organize into a potent force if we quarrel with each other over the difference between liberals & progressives?
To me they’re the same, and I describe myself using both terms.

Actually during my volunteering I met some coordinators who came from DC to help us with the recalls. Sure local Dems were the foot soldiers, but there was some help from Washington. Wirerat1 – I tend to agree with you that we’ll have to hit rock bottom before the average American wakes up & realizes that he’s been had. Don’t have any idea when that will happen, but I’m pretty sure that will be the case.
However, since I’m very demoralized in what path the country is on, I & my husband are going to actively pursue a plan to leave the country. We’re going to attend a conference in Vegas dealing with that very plan: moving out of the USA. Next year, we’re going to check Costa Rica out. We have sort of 2-3 year plan to get out of here. The biggest stumbling block will be selling our house which is bigger than the average house in Madison, WI. and has a heftier price tag as a result. Places selling for over $300,000 are not moving into the sold column that much.
As I am fairly fluent in Spanish, & my husband speaks it a little bit, we’re going to look at Central or South America.
Please keep your fingers crossed that we are successful. Thanks.

Tammy Baldwin – Member of Progressive Caucus – 2nd CD WI – her office said that she is undecided. Tammy is considering running for the Senate to replace Herb Kohl. I told her office that she better think twice about that decision as I will certainly spread the truth far & wide if she votes “yes” to abrogate her duties & set up this Super Congress. It is unimaginable to me that anyone calling himself a Progressive would he have to think twice how they will vote on such a terrible bill.
We truly are in Alice in Wonderland territory now – up is down so to speak. I threatened Tammy with an ad in our local paper if she votes “Yes”. I have some discretionary income, and I will run this ad if I’m forced to do so.
I can’t abide such a betrayal of our democratic principles, and our constitution! -
