I have to agree with revisionist. The rural areas are littered with “Retire Lugar” signs from people that have never heard of the Tea Party. Not to mention those like me that took advantage of our primary system to cross the isle. He no longer lives in our state and he has had a lot of bad press regarding the hotel expenditures. This may or MAY NOT be a sign of things to come. Lugar has also become very distant from his his constituents and it was time for him to go.

Yes. Spent considerable time on this. And yes thank goodness for the young people using their voices in NY and elsewhere.

The clothing issue is easy to poke fun at but sadly the message is being heard. I asked my Public Affairs class if anyone had heard or or was following this Occupation Wall Street demonstration. Only one out of forty had heard of it and his knowledge was limited to the arrest. I asked what he thought about the occupation and he replied that that as long as they looked like bums they were never going to get their message to be accepted. Keep in mind… he hasn’t actually “seen” any of the demonstrators himself.
