Been a while since I’ve seen the boys–we very foolishly decided to start not one but three blogs over the last couple of months, and needless to say, I have no free time anymore. But, I had to sneak over for my pup fix–they are so darling. Wembley is looking very intense, and I don’t blame Fenway a bit for relaxing immediately after all that beach exercise. Thank you for the pup post–I appreciate it!

Beautiful boys! And at least the pig won some of the time.

The boys don’t seem to give a care what day of the week it is, as they are busy soakin’ up the rays . . .

Fenway appears to be giving somebody the raspberry, while Wembley is reminding you to not even think about taking his chair in the sun spot away from him. I do hope he feels better very soon. And I like Wem-belly.

Merry Christmas to you, your family and all the bassets–loved the song and the festive picture of Beckham. Thank you for your posts, and especially for TNBB–love that! Our cats had a visit from Santa Claws and surprisingly got catnip pillows instead of the coal they so richly deserved–Santa Claws is a pushover for this bunch every time.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to Caturday, but I surely did enjoy it. Love all the pictures of the cats. Our cats got catnip pillows from my mom (from Santa Claws), and they were in instant bliss followed by exhaustion from too much play for the rest of the day. I [...]

Gotta say I am with Fenway–I don’t like it when it gets cold, either. Mr. Votus tells me back in the day you could buy a home in sunny Barbados for around 10K–maybe Fenway should save up. Wembley will always get me with those ears–it wouldn’t matter how ill-behaved he might have been–I’m a sucker for those ears.

That picture made my night (morning). I bet he was good to snuggle with–two of three of our cats, though it’s been chilly here, have fallen down on the job when it comes to sleeping with us on the bed of late, though likely because the third cat tries to clean their clock every time she sees them, so they’re probably afraid to close their eyes around her. They see her as a bit of a loose canon, which is funny because she’s half the size of the other two. She does, however, put me to bed every night and then sleeps by my feet, and comes up to say hi when I wake up in the morning. She’s a keeper.

What beautiful pictures, and look at how big Wembley is now–he can’t fit underneath Fenway anymore. Thank you for sharing, and for giving us an update on Wembley–hope is is feeling better and all health mysteries become clear very soon.

I’m late to the party, but I do want to send best healing wishes Wembley’s way–it is hard when one of the pet family is not feeling well. Hope all went well today at the vet’s. Give both boys a hug.

Well, I hope Wembley is feeling better soon, and they both are looking pretty boneless in that picture. We had a great cat named Old King Mongkut (black part-Siamese) that became diabetic in his later years, and we gave him two shots of insulin a day for many months. Cats can revert back to normalcy, and in fact he did, and we were able to stop the shots and he lived on a bit longer. But I always did keep an eye out for him, and if he looked shaky I would give him a snack, which he didn’t seem to mind. I will send healthy thoughts Wembley’s way. I don’t know how similar epilepsy is in dogs as in people, but I had a former student that had epilepsy and it really helped him a lot to eat meals at regular intervals–it affected the way the meds worked if he skipped a meal.

The boys are beautiful, as always. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving–I, in my usual insane fashion, cooked enough for a crowd even though there were only 3 (and an entertaining 3 we were) at table, so we’ve got leftovers for days.
