    I’ve seen Cults a couple times, and thought their live show was OK. Glad to hear they sounded really good, assuming that you’re not showing any homer San Diego bias. Seeing them next month at a larger venue. I hope they’ve got some new stuff beyond the Cohen cover, which of course was already covered by Concrete Blonde.

    Hannity point #2 (like two seconds later): People can choose not to have sex.

    Umm, if people can choose to not have sex, then I don’t need to pay for their Viagra. Looks like God went ahead and made that choice for them.

    Seats? Man, I can’t remember the last time I was at a show that has seats. Though I did see Ted Leo and the Pharmacists play in a bowling alley that held about 100 people last night. Were these guys headlining?

    I’ve seen both Yuck (opened for Tame Impala) and Cults this year. If I had to choose, I’d choose Cults over Yuck every time. But you’ll have a good time either way.

    Just saw them open for Tame Impala. I like their stuff, and I don’t mind listening to it, but it hasn’t really grabbed me yet. I was actually a little more impressed with local openers “Yawn”, kind of a mix between White Rabbits and Animal Collective. They have a free EP at their website (yawntheband.com I think). Tame Impala were really good too.

    Have fun at that Posies show. Their Chicago show last month was fantastic. Really love the new album. Their best since “Frosting on the Beater”.
