Gov. Walker just exercises pure power without reference to law & public opinion. Should there be a successful recall, would he be like Laurent Gbagbo or Robert Mugabe and refuse to step down while continuing to legislate his own personal Union Holocaust? What would have seemed paranoia a few years ago is now disturbingly possible.

This is a debate. The fact that the Rightists are either illiterate or Automated Response Machines may be unfortunate, but the necessity of dialogue should prevail. We are no longer at the Saturday Afternoon Tea Party waiting for the mushrooms to take effect—we are in a fight for the life of America. The more controversy sites like this make, the more people come to them to see what the fuss is all about. The onus is on the rightists for not doing a good job. ‘Where O Where is the William F. Buckley of the 21st Century Right?’

Let’s see. Variation: mug a liberal, he becomes a conservative. Truth in fact; Bust a conservative for Drugs, he immediately becomes a liberal (case in point —Rush Limbaugh, who said throw away the book when people do illegal drugs, but when he got busted, he dug through the trash looking for the book he’d thrown away). These pithy aphorism do not economic truth make, but they are good at redirecting untenable positions.

If we don’t have money to pay for foreign goods, we don’t have money for local goods either. And if you check carefully, you’ll find almost every ‘American’ good contains 25-75% foreign parts. Your beloved corporations outsource virtually everything. There’s nothing American left to buy. When you buy these ‘American’ goods you give the money to corporations who then take them off shore to hide in tax shelters. We pay every thing to corporate traitors.

Okay. So stop the Govt. giving 3.2 billion in tax breaks to a corporation which pays 0 taxes on 14.2 billions in profit. Is the govt.allowed to stop spending on these guys too? There is a tremendous amount spent on the rich & nothing on the bottom (the poor). Your rhetoric is based on a scenario that’s never worked except in the Fantasy fiction supply siders are addicted to. Only the Oligarchy believes in what you say. A smart young person looks at the impoverishment of the American worker & realises that your politics comes out of sensory deprivation. You must have no idea how ridiculous your ideas appear in the minds of most Americans who have no more job, no more home, no more car, no more money. They only see you as among those whose ideas created the economic holocaust of the 21st century.

In good times. younger people told me unions were crocs, because they’d watched Fox News. Now the reality of the Wisconsin protests & social media have enlightened them. When & if Unions again become strong, there may be a small chance America will become economically sound. Expect more extreme anti-Union actions from Tax dodger Corporations. They’re not done trying to throttle the life out of America.

  • There is a case in the Supreme Court right now in which police want to be able to interrogate underage suspects without Miranda Warnings. Unilaterally, without congressional approval, the Obama Administration has declared by Fiat that Terrorism suspects do not need to be Mirandised. In the 15th Century, England instituted the Camera Stellata, or Star Chamber Court, in which persons of Noble birth were subject to Conviction without Indictment, Right to an Attorney, Right to Trial by Jury, Right to Argue Innocence nor had the Right to Appeal, all in complete secrecy. Because of the spirit of Liberal Inclusionism, the Obama Administration wants to extend these courtesies to the common Man, not only members of the Nobility. Remember the words ‘Star Chamber Court’; it used to be a Rallying Cry against State sponsored Tyranny (like in the Times of the Declaration of Independence or The Constitution, those Communist inspired radical documents). We need to loudly scream ‘NO STAR CHAMBER COURT’ to the present Administration.

  • God yes. Unions are the force that ensured a professional work force which made American products the envy of the world. They’ve already given up virtually everything in the attempt to ensure equality with non- Union Brethren. Like the ’3o’s, Unions can be the force that Unites America. Look at Wisconsin. Good night to you , brother.

  • I have no idea what you mean. Everybody gives, but the richest give the least. Sorry about that

  • Its up to 8 applying for every single job…

  • Have pity on him for shouting. Maybe he hasn’t had time to disable the caps lock, because he’s too busy trying to run the bicycle generator which powers his own private infrastructure, free of government interference.

  • So you’ve never paid taxes? Does the IRS know about you? It seems like you’re one of those causing the deficit

  • Of course it’s relevant. You criticise people whose jobs you characterise with negative stereotypes. Why are you afraid to say what you do? There’s no shame in being the guy who shoves the cotton into the aspirin bottles.

  • You would die without the public sector. I can’t see you managing a country of over 300 million citizens without help from the government. Your rich heroes are not here to help. They’re here to take without giving back fair value.

  • Public sector workers have been working to serve taxpayers all their careers. Without this work, there’d be death on the highways, rampant crime, disease & vermin everywhere, a vast majority of children unable to read. The private sector is far more lazy & inefficient. Take for instance a multi trillion dollar bailout for the very people who bankrupted the economy, given at almost zero interest, reinvestment at high interest rates offshore, a return of the principle with virtually no investment in job creation. You are paying infinitely more for this than you are for Public sector pensions. But I guess your fantasy is that one day you’ll be among the exploitative rich. Trust me –you won’t. Time to think, not quote your oppressor.

  • The most unsustainable entitlements have gone to the rich & corporations.

  • Understood & agreed with.

  • The unions have been bullied by the bad economy created by the incompetence of the bankers. They have attempted to help out by agreeing to major benefit & wage cuts. But there has not been a quid pro quo. Management only knows how to take, not give.

  • They’ve been trying to eliminate food stamps for strikers since the Reagan era. They’re just closer to succeeding. ‘Take the Oligarchy’s leftovers, however rotten, & be grateful, or we’ll let you starve’, is the intent of this legislation. I don’t understand why the Republicans think this will help out. Are they that stupid, or is this just the labour equivalent of ethnic cleansing? A hungry man is an angry man, said Bob Marley. No one within the GOP believes the Lessons learned in Egypt also apply to America. American anger is increasing exponentionally, & summer is coming in.The sound of marching feet has already been heard in Wisconsin. Are they deaf?
