Many of the Wells Fargo employees at my local branch have quit thier jobs because of the dirty things Wells Fargo has done to it’s customers. Those employees got tired or hearing the complaints from thier neighbors and friends and quit. Now the bank has to import employees, because nobody in the local community wants to work for them.

Those unemployment numbers also don’t include the self employed who have no work. Many independant contractors of all trades are moving out of my small town, and I may have to join them, to go find work. With a degree in Natural Resource Management, I am forced to consider working in the oil fields,fracking and ruining groundwater, for a living. A real soul killer. Having a conscience is a luxury item anymore.

Protesters need more leadership to reign in the “plants” or whatever they are and focus the herd. If the police have an agenda, it needs to be made obvious.

It could work though. People dressed in their work clothes, or wearing id tags, stating their occupations. The cops might have more respect also if protesters act as professional as possible. If you don’t mind me saying..

Nice to see people get pissed off, but their efforts looked mostly to be individual encounters, from the video. Some provocative and some maybe just assertive. “The whole world is watching” is fine, but there is a lot to be said. The police response seems most organized and focused. In the early days of the IraQ invasion, the media had dire stories about how expensive it was and how would we pay for the war? Then the media quit talking about it and the wars just continue, as standard operating procedure for empires. Now Baucus is saying we should assume our armed forces will cut back their expenses, and war efforts. Nice to hear this! We don’t want to continue to fund this new war machine while throwing away our social security and medicare.

What about the drive some people have to get money when they come from a family that had nothing? One of the greediest people I know, who works hard for as much money as he can get, came from a very poor family. His stories about no christmas presents and sleeping in a car help to motivate him. Others born with a silver spoon, but no love at home, might choose to not care so much about money and take a different life path. So many times people grow up as the flipside of their parents in a dysfunctional family. I don’t disagree with a lot of the posts, just offering this for consideration among so many variables.

This was an old calvary tactic used against the indians, to attack the camps when they were asleep. Adopted by special ops because it works. The police are tugging on a mighty big tail this time…Some folks will grab their sleeping bags and go home(if they have one) and others will get mad as hell!
Maybe OWS should protest at the CEO homes at 2am?
