TPM Poll Tracker has a helpful graph tracking President Obama’s approval rating for his handling of the BP Oil Disaster. Like the disaster itself, it’s been consistently getting worse as time goes on. We’ll see over the next several days if Obama’s recent visit to Louisiana and response afterwards will do anything to halt the worsening trend.

I know I am just a DFH but I could have told Obama that this was the direction that this thing was headed. Smarter Presidents, please.
That photo op on the beach was embarrassing. And now it appears all of Obama’s promises to Jindal et. al. about action on their requests was more hot air.
I would like to see some major philanthropic players (like from Hollywood perhaps) step up and start a fund for those sand berms to protect LA wetlands. So they can get started. Today.
BP won’t do anything ~ except stage photo ops of people washing dying reeds.
And Obama is a liar. Again.
I am beyond livid. Waivers and paperwork in 30 days for BP. But for the local people it’s all by the book: slow-walking all the way. It’s been 30 days. If Jindal was BP he’d have his paperwork all wrapped in a big fat bow … like 10 days (if not more) ago.
I guess we won’t have to watch those endless Chuck Todd lectures on “which way will Florida go” anymore!
