Step 1: Introduce the American Anti-Corruption Act to the American People.
Step 2: Get One Million People to “Co-Sponsor” the Act.
Step 3: Take It to Washington. Ask every member of Congress, on the record, “Do you represent us or big money?”
Step 4: Vote Out Sell-Outs. If politicians won’t support the Act, with no changes, loopholes, or delays, we’ll unseat them from office.
Step 5: The Act Is Passed. When the people lead, the leaders will follow.
Support the reform that makes all other reforms possible, here.
For the record, I am not associated with this campaign in any way other than as a “co-sponsoring” citizen who agrees with its goals.

I hadn’t heard about this petition. I doubt that politicians will care about one million people. Recently, when a petition with nearly one million signatures was presented to the FDA, regarding GMO’s, they ruled it was only a single signature, as it came from one internet site.
So we will need one hundred million people. What stopped the war in Vietnam was when politicians and four star Generals began realizing that very few Americans had the stomach for it any more. Plus people were starting to hate the politicians and the Generals for keeping us there. This new effort to get Big Money out of politics will be hard work. It will take time. But we have to start somewhere.
It’s up to 293k right now… I don’t think a million will be the final goal. The “voting them out” part will be the real test.
The action group lists their bd of advisors here. A couple of familiar names, to be sure. I like the ‘vote them out’ part, these guys seem to have the background to know how it’s done. It might just be another stall, but doesn’t cost much to try. If all the people who said they’d love to vote for Jill Stein if she were only electable had done so, perhaps she would have been.
This is the brainchild of Lawrence Lessig, who’s totally legit in my book.
