I was just re-reading an article about differences between Asian and “Western” perception. The gist of the conclusions reached by experiments was that “westerners” tend to focus on singular aspects of images, and “Asians” tend to view holistic themes.
I realize stereo-typing is risky business, but that kind of observation raises the question for me whether I’m missing something an artist might consider obvious. I’m not trying to be a clod and ask what your piece means, I’m just wondering what I need to do to “untrain” myself to see things differently. (If that’s even possible)
Thanks for sharing.
A happy face today. An almost smile and dancing maybe? Thanks
Very interesting drawing, it has me thinking, thank you.
