This protest began at the Hibiya community center in Hibiya park. The park is located near the Imperial Place in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward which is home to the Financial District , Diet and Central Government offices.
Protests took place in Roppongi near the offices of Goldman Sacs and in Shinjuku near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building.

Thank you for these. My prayers go out to the gentle Japanese people for all they have had to endure recently. We all need to return to simple values and remember when greed wasn’t the motivation for excellence, and fear not the means to promote it. The 99% is worldwide.

Thank You so much nagaura!!!
It is Wonderful to see and learn about these actions!!!
Hope this takes off. Their own government is screwing them, wrt nuclear. There are hotspots in Tokyo that were hotter (radioactive) than the Chernobyl exclusion zone. They need a radical reform in their government….
This is wonderful!!
Thank you so much. I’m sending link to this to my son.

Thank you for posting. Go tokyo.
While I believe there is room for capitalism and alas even corporations. I think what’s happening here can best be summed up by something once said by Karl Marx,
“People of the world unite , you have only your chains to lose !”
One love, One people, One destiny !

Here’s my imitation of an American newscaster, being forced to cover Occupy Tokyo:
“But but but none of them look like hippies! The script we got from Uncle Rupert and the Kochs says that all non-right-wing protesters must be called hippies!”
Metamars. I join you in supporting these good people who have been so abused.
Do you have a link or a reference to Tokyo radioactive hot spots. It might be helpful to my anti-nuclear colleagues who in the next few days will be testifying at a government public hearing about expansion of the nuclear power plants.
Solidarity!
Never mind re the links. I found the latest.

Contact Gary Null’s Office. Look at garynull.com for contact info. Null has recently released a major anti-nuclear documentary, and already kicked off an effort to (eventually) close every nuclear plant in the world. They’re starting with Indian Point in NY, but the stated goal is global. I think they’re marching on Washington, D.C..
At the film’s premier, Null had brought in “Japan’s Ralph Nader” (sorry, don’t recall her name), as well as a Japanese family from Fukushima. An intro is here:
