As pointed out elsewhere (sorry can’t remember who gets the h/t), putting Kennedy’s name on the HELP bill is a mistake. It might be merged with the POS coming out of Finance, and then be harder to kill, even though it sucks.
A better idea is to put his name on one of the House bills which are closer to his thinking. That would preserve the goodness, at least until conference.
